Yes I did, might as well let kid get some valuable experience since he's 22 and the season is basically over, but yeah let's shove the young rookie in the bench for the rest of the season for development, that's the Kings way...
So the choices are; put him in against the best center in the league in a close game that we were actually competing in (for a change) for 32 seconds = or = shove him to the end of the bench for the rest of the season? These extremes are not in proportion.

I have high hopes for Queta and want to see him get floor time... just not thrown to the lions for a few seconds to see what happens in a close game.

I mean, Donte Greene locked up Kobe that one time...

Yes I agree with you that it wasn't the best time to put him there, but I can't see why we can't give him a solid 10mins a game, regardless of the team, i mean he did against Jarrett Allen, and even if he's not close to a Embid level, he's still a very good center... It's just sad to see other teams in the league playing and developing their picks while we can't get ours to become anything.

I find it crazy that a kings fan is talking about sixers bombing in the playoffs, and that the Kings have a way talented roster then Philly, but hasn't sniffed the playoffs in 15 straight seasons.
Here's the difference, the Sixers aren't trying to make the playoffs, they are trying to win a ring. They had a true superstar of superstar combos on paper with Ben, Embiid, and Butler. They blew it. They apparently chose Ben over Butler. As Kings fans had it with injuries, you know how much that hurts. Even worse than missing the playoffs. When the window is wide open, you don't quite get there and it explodes after one year? Oh man does it hurt.

All that talent the Kings have on there roster and yet they are 18-33 in a down year in the western conference. If it was one year that would make the playoffs it would be this season. Yet they fired their coach, and has a GM who know he cant attract top tier free agent talent. Who are the Kings and their fans kidding hahahaha
Dave I don't think you know what your dealing with, do you know who SuperNova Fox is? This guy is going to be leading the Kings to NBA titles mate while Embid rots away waiting for Simmons to put on his big boy pants. Ja Morant better hope the Kings trade Fox to Philly that way he will only get destroyed twice a season. Once Supernova is over his covid, bad coaching/bulking up to much and the refs being against him he will be the winning player we all know he is.

Has it dawned on anyone yet that Haliburton is getting praised right now by the same people saying we need to trade Fox for basically playing exactly like Fox has down the stretch in 4th quarters -- overdribbling himself into tough shots over and over again but knocking them down and coming up just short of actually hitting the game winner. It was an incredible performance by Tyrese but I don't see what makes this loss feel any better than all the others. We had a lead and blew it because we couldn't stop the Sixers from scoring when it mattered and one player did just enough to make the final score closer than it actually felt. So basically more of the same.

Why pay a guy 32million dollars to lose games when it can be done equally as well on like a 4-8million dollar rookie deal? Fox was losing games while taking 32million dollars out of the salary cap, where as Ty (I don't see him as a savior of any sort) is doing the same while not having potentially 1-3 viable players next to him due to the missing 32million.

If anything it show's how empty Fox's stats are and that a 2nd year player can do what he does with less talent.

Your ability to continue to blame Fox for losses while he's not playing impresses me.

So we basically took a time machine back two years before Fox's max extension kicked in. Tyrese is going to get the same extension when his rookie contract runs out in two more years and if we trade Fox we'll essentially have spent 4 years going nowhere. This is how you miss the playoffs for 16 straight seasons. I don't know how you're judging Haliburton as having less talent than Fox. It's nice to have players who are outplaying their rookie scale contracts but the idea is to add talent year after year not swap one piece out with another.

If Sacramento fans actually want to root for a winning team they're going to have to get over this idea that a player making 32 million per year is overpaid. Haliburton might get 40 million per by the time he's eligible for an extension because of salary cap inflation and potential merit related bonuses (making an All Star or All NBA team). That's just the economics of the NBA -- it's not the players' fault for earning an extension. It would also be nice if we could eventually stop dividing up the team into "good" guys and "guys we want to trade so our good guys can get more minutes/shots/points/assists/blocks/etc."

I think it’s a rather small percentage of people, but loud, who always think it’s got to be this guy or that guy but it can’t be both guys.
