Kevin Mchale as Bigman coach?

What do you guys think about Kevin as our bigman coach? I am a big SAR fan, but cmon....Bynum gets Kareem, Hawes gets...SAR.

this is the last year of Kevin's contract. I think with his crafty game he would be a perfect mentor for Hawes and JT.

I'd rather have McHale suit up for us than have him coach or in the front office. He'd somehow convince all our young players to demand a trade

Supposedly McHale got rave reviews as a developmental coach, but has stunk at everything else. I wouldn't mind brining him in in that capacity if he would want it. However, now that he has had higher roles, he will probably pursue more responsbility (which I would not want to give him) and if he was going to just relax and be a big man coach, he would probably go back to Boston and work with Ainge helping Perkins and Powe.

I'm sorry but this is one of the most retarded ideas I've ever heard of.

Why would someone go from being a GM of a horrible team then step down to coach that same horrible team then wanna come be an assistant coach of a team he has absolutely no connection with?

The celtics would make some sense but even then I'd say it's far fetched. I think with him it's either be a head coach, be a GM, or just flat out retire. He's filthy rich anyways!

These are the big men i want to teach our young ones

Dikembe Mutombo
Hakeem Olajuwon
Moses Malone
Karl Malone
Robert Parish
Bill Laimbeer

any of these would do.... i kind of like Bill to teach our guys some toughness so they come out there nasty

Minn is giving him the boot, theres reports he didnt have a choice to become the head coach, that they forced him. he doesnt have a contract after this season. he is one of the greatest bigman ever.....where are you confused?

You are still confused. No one ever said bringing him in to help hawes was a "bad" idea. It's the question WHY would he come to sac town? If the head coach spot was available(and no I would not want this guy in a gazzillion years) then I could possibly see why he might be interested. But as a big man/assistant coach? Makes no sense at all for him.

He's not going to take a "big man coach" position to teach Hawes and JT post moves. It's kind of like asking a CEO of a company to step down and work as a sales rep. It's just not happening. That is why the previous poster thinks your idea is retarted and, frankly, he is right.
