Kenny Natt:

bajaden

Hall of Famer
Kenny Natt is going to be on KHTK in the next half hour. Also, Grant just implied that part of the reason Reggie was fired had to do with his relience on Chuck Person. Not sure what that means.

Grant also once implied that Bobby Jackson was a slacker who milked his stomach muscle problem to try and make sure he got a good contract. There are probably any number of reasons Theus got the boot and Grant will most likely try and pretend he knows all of them. No matter what, no one in the organization is going to come out and refute what he says, so I'd make sure and have a very large shaker of salt handy when listening to Grant and Mike.

Besides, a large shaker of salt has multiple uses.

:p

Good interview with Natt. Who knows, maybe what the Kings wern't able to accomplish with two previous choices that were made after interviews and research, they'll accomplish by accident and luck.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Grant always do this? Once a player is traded or coach gets fired, he goes on and does a hatchet job after the person in question has left the town? I don't listen to his radio show, but if I remember correctly this sort of thing comes up regularly on kf.com.

He's either a complete d-bag or it's an implicit part of his job to provide justifications for firings and trades and deflect any criticism of ownership/organization? I can't decide what is worse.

Yes, he does. The perfect example is Chris Webber. When he was in town he would talk about how Chris was a model citizen and how he turned the franchise around, etc. After he left town, he totally bashed him and talked about how it was all about Chris and his stats, etc.

This is nothing new for Grant; he is as gutless as they come and is a huge D-bag.

Hey can anyone quickly summarize the interview with Natt?

Coach Natt is so low-key it's hard to summarize or give tantalizing sound bites - not his style. One tid bit of note. Kings flew out to Portland after last nights game and had a "good discussion" today about team strategy for game this evening. Natt told players they would practice tomorrow in prep for upcoming game against Houston on Friday. Kings will stay out on the road all week long concluding trip at New Orleans and San Antonio. Grant Napear later said he talked to at least 4 Kings players today and none of them were upset or bitching in any way about practicing after tonights game and in the middle of playing 4 games in 5 nights.

Gavin and Grant in an alternate universe.
