I liked it when Brad played the 4 and Divac started at the 5. It gave the Kings the best record in the league once upon a time. Now, if we could get Alonzo Mourning for the minimum, move Brad back to the 4 and get Wells re-signed...

PG-Mike Bibby
SG-Bonzi Wells
SF-Ron Artest
PF-Brad Miller
C-Alonzo Mourning

I mean, that's not bad at all for a year, 2 max. Mourning's a monster down low, and if we promised him a starting spot, he might take the offer. He could also be a mentor to Williams or Gray... or maybe even both. AND we save a little $$$.

IMHO, it's the best option left if we go the free agent route.

Sounds good to me. Alonzo is a beast even if he is getting old, the guy still brings it. I'd give him the starting job and play Miller at 4 and Reef off the bench like he did last year at 4 only, we still need a backup C other than Potatoe. Miami doesn't need Shaq and Alonzo...it's just wrong.

I know Brad is too slow to play the PF position as things are now...but with a guy like Alonzo around, people will think twice about exploiting the lane to the basket. I just hope we resign Bonzi and if not trade his from someone good, but we need a decision soon as this is creating a log jam not only for us, but a lot of other teams bidding for him. Just look at the guards available, contracts aren't going through because people are waiting on Bonzi.

Zo's not going anywhere guys. Wants to retire in Miami, and after winning a title, its even more not happening. Either he retires there this summer, or he retires there next summer. His town, his franchise, his coach.
