Fans don't need "gentle warnings" from the head coach. And sorry, but if I feel like chanting "Bobby! Bobby! Bobby!" I'm going to do so. I also chanted "Corliss! Corliss! Corliss!" along with about 16,000 other people. It wasn't because I was delusional about his ability. It was to recognize his contributions over the years to the team I love.

Sorry, PH, but I still think Reggie's ego sometimes drives him to say things he would be better off simply not saying.

I don't know how much better or worse it makes it, but I don't think it's a gentle warning to the fans. (For the conspiracy theorists out there) I think it's him laying the foundation to be able to say "Hey, it ain't my fault!". He is a 2nd year coach holding the leftover remains of a blown up team now reborn. If there are too many bumps and bruises along the way that could severely hinder his chances of remaining a head coaching figure in the NBA. With the proper understanding throughout the community and organization though it shouldn't be a problem.

If Reggie is trying to educate the fans, he must think we're really dumb. The 2004-5 season was not 8 years ago, and I know that BJax, at 35, won't be winning 6th man of the year again. But did I like him more than I did Reggie's lost pet player? Most definitely. He may not have much gas left in the tank, but if we were going to get an ender, it beats the heck out of getting another Potapenko.

Sorry Reggie, but there are things that matter to fans which have nothing to do with your career W-L record. We cut you slack because you're an old Kings guard that we have fond memories associated with. Don't deny that to others.
