I remember when there was a time I used to like him. It almost seems like this guy is trying to turn everybody's opinion against him.

What an idiot. I like his game, but I'm glad we didn't trade for him now (I was for it a while ago). This guy is making Latrell Sprewell look like a genius

Think you can mess with Texas, arrogant clown, spoiled senseless, Josh Howard? You got another thing coming dude. You might have gotten a pass or second chance in Dallas up until now. This spit in your face insult is borderline treason in the Lone Star state where they love the stars n stripes and long remember their Alamo. I would not be surprised if Mavs fans demand his pea-brained head or throngs boycott games, ask for season tix refunds. Cuban has a GIGANTIC Howard problem now, yet he seems not to really get it. No surprise, since he's a fake Texan, born and raised in Pennsylvania.

Josh Howard makes Ron Artest look like a Saint in my book.

This is ridiculous, but Howard is clearly an idiot and I'm eternally glad the Kings didn't trade for him. No sense trading cancer for heart disease. Cuban ought to suspend him for a few games, just for ongoing stupidity.

What a put down on the country that pays him millions to play a game. I am sure he would love it in a third world country not knowing where his next meal is coming from.. But yah.. 'he's black' so it's ok to hate on the USA. It irritates me when spoiled brats who have had everything handed to them hates on the country that gave it to them..

Wow, glad we dont have this loser on our team. Totally disrespectful. If his life is so rough here, then why doesnt he go somewhere else? I doubt anyone has seen him complaining about his money situation. Call someone when you have real problems Josh.

What do you guys expect, look at his peers....He hangs out with Allen Iverson. His peer group is what it is, and Josh is reflecting poorly of himself and his peers.

REQUEST: Please keep this on topic. It was Josh Howard who made the comments, not Allen Iverson or any other "peers." If things start to go off-topic in this thread, it will be closed.

Honestly, that was Josh Howard smart ... so, you are saying people in Texas are like more American or can really get it, and people in Penn are not good enough. Obviously, if Cuban had been born in TX, and not in PA, he would have been a real deal, smart and patriotic. Oh, yeah. How about other states? It has nothing to do with Texas or Pennsylvania.

And, yes, this topic should be closed. It is not about basketball anymore.

It's ignorance, pure and simple.

As a black person, I already have issues of my race to deal with. To put not representing your country because of the color of your skin and Obama in the same breath is just foolish. He doesn't care how many people died for the rights, freedom, and money that he now has.

 @ Josh. You are very lucky to have Mark Cuban as the person who pays you. Another person this profession or otherwise might have fired you for less

it's unfortunate that being an employee of the NBA effectively nullifies players' faculty to express themselves

it seems obvious in Howard's inflection that his comment was meant to provoke and was an attempt at satire

despite the moderator's threats, it's worthwhile to reflect on what was said: it has relevance in American society, especially now
