Can we please start this guy???
does he come in couple sizes bigger ?
not his heart
unfortunately heart can not replace everything
Any questions?
Spencer shops in the petite section, Brockman shops in big n tall section
Brockman is a great energy guy off the bench. He is NOT a starter. I love the guy and what he brings to the table. Thik of shorter Pollard.I think The Brockness Monster would look great starting at center. Bring in Hawes to play agianst the other teams 2nd unit. That way he can gain some confidence and work his way through his issues. Also gives him some more time to bulk up. Can you imagine Brockman being Hawes's HEIGHT ??
What do we have to lose? Spencer is getting burned by just about every center he faces. We need to start our best 5. I hate to say this, but I think Brockman would be a better center than Hawes. Brockman plays bigger than he is and Hawes plays smaller than he is. WHO gets more rebounds? Who plays better post defense? Who is the scrapper/fighter we need under the rim? I say start him a few games and see how he does...

the first time i think he actually made us of a second round pick...
remember the year before? he had 2 2nd rounders P. ewing jr. and mr. Sean singletary .. both waived...
Jon Brockmans size is actually a big part of what makes him valuable. He's compact which in terms of physics simply means he'll pack in the strength because whatever upper body strength he exerts has a shorter distance to travel along the muscle fibers. Same goes for his lower body. He has a lower center of gravity and very dense musculature. Major advantage in the strength department. Count in the fact that he's pretty darn athletic and you're a ok!
he is also 3rd in the league in rebounds per 48minutes with 17.6 just behind Dwight Howard and Kevin Love and just ahead of Noah.
not really sure why he cant be a starter, Dennis Rodman was only an inch taller. Brockman is having a similar rookie to rodman (both average 4+rebs) in limited minutes (rodman 15min per gm/Brockman 11min per gm). In rodmans career as his minutes increased, so did his rebounds(12-18per game with starter minutes). The skill was always there, he just needed the minutes. Also both players have/had no offensive game other then the putback.
Heres a question if Brockman were to recieve starter minutes (30-40) would he have a similar career to Rodman? (maybe top out at 14reb per game instead of 18)
I think it's possible. He may be short on paper, but if he can shut down amare like he did last night and get all those crazy rebounds, than he's doing what a 7 footer should be doing, and doing it better than most.
