Farmar is a solid backup for a system like this one, a prolific 3pt shooter, which fits, and he already played for Joerger last year. You likely set that aside for Lawson's talent if he has his head screwed on straight, but if not, you're pretty lucky to have a Farmar if you're running a system like ours where the PG doesn't need to create at a high level. Especially for these first 8 games.
I've always liked Toney Douglas for what he is, but the huge wart that finds him annually bouncing from team to team is that he really can't run a team. He's really a lot like Temple, as a combo guard more than anything else. If we moved Ben for a pick or some such, hey welcome on board . Always liked the defense and toughness, bombs threes. I just don't think a good team can rely on him to run the team for extended periods.
