I think it's right to be annoyed when your team--desperate for talent, that really needs to make the most with every asset it has--has clearly mismanaged a piece that could have been valuable. At the very least, why not use JJ as the interior offensive focus when DMC is on the bench? Even if it's more on JJ, how is Portland's--interim, by the way--coach able to reach him but the Kings staff can't?
We tried. He wound up jacking stupid jumpers or just dropping the ball and while forgetting to play defense

JJ doesn't have much of a post game. He couldn't be the post replacement for Cousins. At best, he's a pick n roll guy. To put up numbers, he needs to be featured on a bad team. He wasn't ever going to be more than a 4th option here and his defense and poor boxing out costs the team more than he ever helps a team.
