I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those colors related to any Kings gear. This is the worst color combination they could have chosen.

On the Pacers site (http://www.nba.com/pacers/) they show their new unis for the '05 and '06 season, the Pacers' uniforms are not the same as the one that is in the picture with the "new" kings jerseys, so maybe there is hope that they will not look like this!!!

Oh my goodness. I'm considering hiding my Kings alliance to all who don't know it yet in LA. It'll be the Mcgrady and "Melo jersey only from now on.

Not to belabor the point, but I am a Kings fan to the bone. I LOVE THIS TEAM! If I'm thinking things like that, can you imagine what the Laker fans are going to be able to come up with?

I work at Best Buy in Katy a little sub of Houston. Brian Skinner came in real chill playing some XBOX and bsing. I went up to him shook his hand he was real chill real cool kinda goofy but cool. Any game you recommended for him to buy he would just pick it up and say cool haha. He had a tongue ring and I asked him about basketball and his Kings. He said he has to go to training camp in Sac somewhere he said on Tuesday I think he said with a SIGH. Laid back guy asked about the Kings on the addition he loves Bonzi and Shareef said it was good and that they lost Mobley. Asked about him starting he said he cant cause "they love their 70 million dollar white boy way to damn much". HAHA that I found funny as hell also said he is injury prone so he will get in many starts and he felt he played real good after the trade..

My initial reaction was ARGH!!! My after-the-fact reaction is still ARGH!!! and I definitely won't be adding a gold jersey to my ensemble. In the end, however, as a couple of people have pointed out, it could be worse. They could look like the "taxicab" checkerboard jerseys of a few years back.
Bottom line is that I think the marketing strategy was ill-advised and I don't think the gold jerseys will become fan favorites.
I still HATE them but I'm not going to slit my wrists over them. I started the poll; the Kings organization is aware of our initial reactions. Once the unis are actually seen on the players, it might be different; it might not.
The Maloofs are pretty shrewd businessmen. If people don't buy the gold jerseys, they won't be around that long. At some point in time, far in the future, we might even be talking during TDOS about the season where the gold unis ended up breaking the jinx and getting us the title. Now wouldn't that be interesting?

Not only are they ugly and barf inducing, they also do not televise well. It was hard to distinguish between the jerseys and the floor. I'm hoping the marketing people will notice that and do away with them more quickly than waiting on lack of sales.
