In a well played game - Kings beat Rockets to improve to 6-10 for the season, 6-3 at home and obviously still 0-7 on the road After 3 games of the 5 game home stand Kings are 2-1 with 2 games left against Jazz and Clippers. After that - the schedule gets brutal where Kings have to play 6/7 on the road including 2 back to back sets in 11 days and a 5 games East Coast road trip is the vital part of that. Kings will attempt to catch up with playoff contenders but it won't happen and maybe if we get to 10 games below .500 - the management will do what we want and need.

Rick Adelman the best coach that ever coached Kings in Sacramento got what he deserved form fan perspective. It was yet another historical moment full with emotions and great great memories despite all the pain that comes with them. Kings fans yet again showed their class as they did many times before. Such moments make one feel proud even as a passive member of this great community. I bet - Rick felt pretty good during those couple minutes because it is something that one can only earn - not buy or steal or manipulate - You have to earn it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which gets us to the flip side of that coin - the Sacramento Kings Owners - who weren't there. I hope I don't go too far in this segment and break some board rules but I feel obligate to somehow show resentment about their "unclassy" behavior in this matter. Pathetic - it the more appropriate word anyway. There are no excuses and I know that they don't need any but still. When NBA schedule came out that day had to be circled and I am sure that it was but it was marked as - "have to be absent" day. It is totally irrelevant - why. The man had lead the team to 437 wins in 7 and 2/3 seasons. That alone commands some sort of recognition without all the other intangibles that Rick brought to a table. Not extending his contract is business and it is fine. Going in different direction is fine too. Doing something like this is "unclassy", pathetic and sad beyond words. Maybe I am making too big of a deal out of nothing - but that is the was I feel about it.

Talking about sad things on a whole different level - we all hope that Ron's daughter will end up being okay and having a long and healthy life. When something like this happens - basketball stops being relevant. It is hard to even find words for it. One has to acknowledge the professionalism and the effort that Ron has shown in this hard times for him and his family. I am one of them who criticize him for things he has done on and mostly off the court and I still would love to see him play somewhere else - yesterday but I do appreciate his effort to be at all the games and to play as hard as he can and give his best as he usually does given the situation. Again - I hope that the little girl and the whole family will be okay.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the game of basketball - it is encouraging to see the 2 big guys rebounding better these days. Now that can't make up for the less than 5 rebounds that Mikki gets per 26 minutes of PT that he gets but it is a start and a reason why we are more competitive. I don't want to blame Mikki too much because even if the ball is going in Your direction - You still have to have some kind of hands to catch it and he is kinda limited there. Anyways - I would like to see Brad and Spencer have more rebounding games like they have recently had. Eventually, some more of Justin to spice it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It might be an anomaly but against the Rockets we had an assist to turnover ratio better than 3 to 1. That is more like it. Sure, it might be luck, coincidence and the theory of big numbers all together but it also might be a start. It shows that we can play with more control and share the ball better than we did so far which isn't hard at all. No one is expecting that Kings suddenly rediscover the way they played when they were at their best. But we have to do better and be more consistent in that area and we have shown that we can.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rockets showed up with 2 players ready to play and as good as they were - it wasn't enough to beat Kings who took great care of the ball and who made Refer Alston make big decisioned down the stretch which is always enough for a win. It is to expect that Rockets will improve as the season goes along but it doesn't chancge the fact that Kings go a quality win against a good team. Yao and TMac are kinda good - don't You think ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME
No TDM award will be given for this game. It is something that has to be earned and no one on the Rockets team did it - hence - Kings won the game
LW-VC award went to ther rest of the Rockets except Bonzi.
Mikki wins JHA award due to being 7 feet and catching 2 rebounds in 25 minutes.
RA&1 award went to Refer Alston. Don't look at his numbers. Look at what he did down the stretch. I don't know how this guy can even start in the NBA
WTF moment of the game goes to one of the announcers for saying what he said. You all know - what I mean.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz are next. When we played them on the road they abused us badly. They abused Lakers on Friday night without Boozer and Okur. It was a fun game to watch. Kirilenko was all world that night. I don't know what the status of those 2 guys is for tomorrow night but it will be much easier for us without them especially Boozer who we can't guard. This time we do have a PG to match with Williams. We need to match the energy and keep them off the glass.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - be aggressive
Ron - get in the post
Mikki - put some glue on Your hands
Brad - keep shooting
Beno - keep it up
Salmons - too sexy I guess
Cisco - same old
Spencer - I would love Your offensive rebounds much more if they didn't come from Your missed layups
Douby - More PT
rest - garbage
Coach T - You have got to play the kids more
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz are an elte team in the NBA and even if they play without Boozer and Okur - we still have to respect them. If they don't play - I expect Kirilenko to go crazy again and I expect Millsap to fill us up big time. In that case - Fesenko will get the TDM. Otherwise - it will go to Millsap. LW-VC award will go to Brewer. Also with Hart playing - other awards are possible. Winning streak is likely.
