I missed 3/4 of the game fixing my oven! :) 5 blocks by Cisco.

See what happens when the balls are not over-inflated

It's actually these moments of strong D and energiezed play that make it so damed frustrating when they have moments like the 4th quarter of the last game... There are some good pieces here!

Home/Away -- classic bad team stuff. Play pretty good ball at home, lose on the road. Now here's the problem: March = 11 of 18 on the road.

It's not a serious injury, he played, and was not his normal self, but played as he could. I'm fine with that, and wasn't in great pain out there from what I saw.

Even if he didn't play, I think we still would of won.

I have someone new to hate.....Milt Palacio. Geez.

EDIT: BTW Piksi...I am REALLY sorry I said something about the pig.;)
I liked the pig better. The new avator minus the dislike of the Lakers is old news.

We still played pretty badly offensively and got a win. When Bibby gets his shot back and Bonzi is back in game shape, this will be a scary team.

?????

I have to disagree with just about everything in this post. A hip pointer - or deep bruise - can be very painful. It also causes muscle and tissue to stiffen up, etc. He was probably in a fair amount of pain.

I salute Artest because not only did he play through it, it was clear the rest of the team was taking inspiration from him.

If you think anyone else could have bothered AK-47 as much as Artest did, you weren't watching the same game I was...

VF21,

I agree with you and thank you. If it wasn't your play by play, I would have missed the game. I thought the schedule I was looking at was PST. I would have hated to miss this game.

Kevin Martin played every bit as well on offense as Bonzi would have. And how much of a shot do you expect Bibby to get back? He led us in scoring...

This is no longer the outside threat team it used to be. We're going to win a large percentage of our games with less than 100 points on the board.

Sorry, but this was a good solid win and I think they deserve credit for it instead of the "played pretty badly offensively" stuff. They played well enough offensively to win AND they shut the Jazz down on defense. That's huge, IMHO.

You're very welcome.

Okay...

I meant not serious as in missing games, he said it himself, and it was said before that as "day-to-day". There were times where he did look in pain, but not like agonizing or anything. He was likely holding it in at times too.

I said he played through it, and I never said he played bad or something. When I said "not normal self" I meant offensively, getting steals, etc. aka his usual production and game. Because of the injury. Grant and Jerry said it a couple times too. I watched the game and I saw him play AK-47 also, that was a key to the game. I've also already commended Artest for taking the route that he was going to play today, and that he did indeed play today.

Clearly a misunderstanding as that was my intent with the post, and is how I feel.

And shot attempts.. what are we the Sacramento Bibbys now? Bibby 7/19. This is below his career average. On an average night he will play better than this offensively. Is that such a contentious statment? I'm also not taking anything away from Kevin by saying that we'll be better when Bonzi is back. We'll have both, won't that be grand? I think it IS taking something away from Bonzi to infer that we don't need him because Kevin is playing so well.

I'm not taking about scoring total, I'm talking about shooting percentage of some of our key players. If you think that this is as well as we can do offensively, well that is your opinion, but I think we played below potential on offense.

Uh, no apology neccesary since I never implied that it wasn't a quality win or that they don't deserve credit for it. Shots aren't always going to fall, but good defense shows heart and allows you to win the uglier games. If anything, they deserve MORE credit for wins like this.

You don't need to run to the rescue of the Kings all the time when we aren't even critisizing them. It takes a pretty serious twisting of my words to make what I posted into something negative. Thank GOD you were here to defend the team's honor from such baseless and malicious attacks like:

"They didn't play well offensively today" and "This team will be scary"
