I guess this is our once a month Cousins discussion. Can't wait for the next one. I realize that some of you don't like Cousins, so therefore, nothing he does right is going to be recognized, and everything bad he does, is going to be highlighted. He's the best center in the NBA, and lets hammer the hell out of him. Not saying that mistakes shouldn't be pointed out, but that's different than painting with a broad brush. Maybe some of you got bullied by a big kid when you were little. Or maybe some of you are 5'7" and have a height complex. Yeah yeah, I know, that's politically incorrect. So sue me!
Here's the thing. Cousins is not without flaws, I get that, but when all is said and done, which would you rather have? A really nice kid that's 7 feet tall, who never complains to the ref's. Always gets back on defense, averages 2 fouls a game, and seldom if ever gets a technical. Oh, and he averages 10 points a game along with 6 to 7 rebounds a game. Or, would you rather have Cousins, flaws and all? Personally, I'm taking Cousins. Why? Because the other guy is a dime a dozen, and Cousins is one in a million. So I'll ***** a little when I think he's forgetting to get back on defense when the ball is live, but I'll happily live with it. Cousins is a double edged sword. You don't get one without the other.
This stuff about the Olympic's is nonsense. Yes, of course he was on his best behavior. He was also on his own dime. Remember also, the rules are different. You can foul out of a game quicker, and despite all the efforts to the contrary, there's a tad of bias from the officials at times. Tell me that if you go to a special event your not on your best behavior. Especially if it's an event you really wanted to go to. The NBA is his job! I realize that when you go to a game, your going to an event, but to him, it's his daily routine. That's not to excuse bad behavior, but don't compare his NBA behavior to his Olympic behavior. When you play 82 games, you going to have some bumps in the road. Much easier to maintain good behavior for 6 games or so.
