It would be just like the Kings...

mebbe I have missed something. Didn't the new league alignment mean that after the first round, home court goes to the team with the better record this year? (seedings no longer count for home court after the first round). Thought I saw that someplace?

Well hell, if we aren't good enuff to win a semi or a final in Game 7 on the road - guess that means we will just have to dispatch the opponent after 6 then huh? Damned shame that 15-6 buys no optimism. I suppose we should throw those fellows that walk on water a paddle just in case..................I agree......

Regular season means nothing for the Kings. Been there - done that. We can win 60 games - if we do not win in PO - 60 wins do not mean much.

Just my poinion here but I don't think the Kings ahve any buisness in a game 7 situation. Hopefully they have learned from the previous heartbreaks to get the job done in 6 or less. ;)

agreed, all that counts is the 16 wins after april 20. (I believe the first round goes to 7 games this year as well??)
Maybe you could find out for all of us what the new playoff deal is because im interested in knowing as well.

That was the original point........They haven't learned. Too many of you fans quite honestly pin the Kings future on is hope, not reality. Of course no one wants to go to a game seven here in Sactown because we are all sick of seeing the same result year after year. It would be great to knock someone off in a huge series in 5 or 6.

So I ask the following.....If they can't hold a lead and finish against Minnesota in the regular season, why should I believe that they will do so in the playoffs? If they had learned anything, they would have won that game. I have every right to question this team....and all of you do to. You don't for whatever reason and that is fine, but I refuse to make excuses where they are not warranted.

On the positive.....a win is a win and I hate to say it but I'm done being positive. If that had been a "meaningful" game as this obviously wasn't aaccording to many fans on here, Webb would have been just a inch short on that J. Let's say if this had been Game 7 against the Wolves:) Oh wait...never mind. In May we'll see if Webb hits that shot! I hope he does, but don't count on it.
Kind of a negative spin on "the positive", but I get your point. Your disdain betrays you! Try to understand that some others do not share your view on Web, as you obviously do not share theirs. I don't have a feeling either way, guess I'm just lucky, or perhaps non-competitive. No, that's not it. :p

On the "real" positive, I think EVERY game is a meaningful one, weather or not Bibby is clutch, Web, Brad, hell...they've ALL been clutch now! Give the clutch guys their due homage, whomever it may be.

Oh, contrar! You can drop your tix off at the office for moi. Sure, same result would suck, but we hope for a larger prize than, well...okay, 3 years ago WCF. But hey, you can't trample our hope! Or, better yet, our reality. Which is our hope. See how this works? ;)

lol, they should have put the Bucks away when they were ahead in the 2nd quarter by 7. But they'll feed off of this win, and hopefully take some cockiness into the game Thursday night.

In the short time I've been here, I've observed much more positive reinforcement than excuse-making. I think many here question the team at times, and certainly after tough game 7 losses. But I refuse to be bitter because, well, it just doesn't sit well with my sunny disposition :D

I, quite frankly, couldn't care less if you make excuses or not. Your pomposity is overwhelming - and tiresome.

You belittle us and our board, lump us all together as if we speak with one small voice, and act as though you've been promoted above us in some way. That is, of course, absurd on its face and patently false.

You might want to find another board to pontificate upon - one not so massively inhabited by inferior beings who cannot compete with you and your big brain.

I have the day off and I manage to pee off 90% of the board. Mission Accomplished. Feel stupid for falling for it?

I hate the Lakers, but ignorant and myopic Kings fans are second on my list. You are right, this is getting boring. Don't fire me, I resign :)

2muchgame has left the building - and will hopefully find another Kings board more suited to her temperment and sensibilities.

With Clublakers shut down I dont think 2muchgame has a home to go to and I some how doubt that home would be Kings board. Quite an ego to think that 90% of us are pissed off... can't speak for anyone else but I had be 10 times more anoyed to reach perturbed status.

Done being positive? I must have missed the part where you started. I think the point most people made earlier in this thread was this game was no MORE meaningful than the rest of the 82 in the regular season. Of course it was big in relation to the seedings in the play-offs, they ALL are. Kings are doing what good teams do, finding ways to win, even when they don't play well, against the teams they are supposed to beat. Something that has, in the past, been somewhat problematic for them at times.
BTW, you might want to review that game 7 three by Webb. It wasn't an inch short, it was half-way down and spun out. My how perceptions would have been changed had it stayed down.
