Is Mike D'Antony any good for Kings?

We have a coach for the next 2 years, barring a losing run of blowouts where the players sit on the court i can't imagine we'll be pursuing a new one.

a resounding "no."

if you think new york is a mess right now, even with all of their talent, imagine what would happen if mike d'antoni brought his all-frills, no-defense style of play to the kings, a team with considerably less talent than the knicks...

d'antoni is no longer a commodity in this league. his offense saw some success in phoenix, but credit goes to future hall of famer steve nash for that one. nba defenses have since figured out how to take away the strengths of such an offense, and nba offenses light up like christmas when a d'antoni-led team comes to town...

He's about on par talent-wise with who we've had since RA.

I still think our next HC is going to be Flip Saunders.

Why do we need D'Antoni to screw up our team playing stupid ball at $6mil per year? We've alredy got him at a fraction of that price.

i would forever prefer such a hiring to coaches who insist on playing smallball. saunders is not an outta-the-park kinda selection, but he could, perhaps, help to steady this team. that said, i do not see him coming to sacramento. he was as frustrated as could be as head coach of the wizards, and was just as relieved to be let go as his team was, sources say. the kings' problems aren't quite on par with the wizards problems, but i can't imagine saunders is eager to coach another young, frustrating basement-dweller...
