Is it possible for the Kings to rent Dwight Howard ( Yeah, I know he'll leave )

And why in the world would any team want to give us all that when he can WALK?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Hey, let's give up half our frikin team for half a season of Dwight Howard!

Or even if they are willing to give that much, why wouldn't that team just trade directly with Orlando and get a full season of Dwight in training camp etc, with a better shot at convincing him to stay?

Sometimes I just feel like the stupidity level in the world has reached new levels.

I don't think you understand what he's saying. If we trade for Howard now, yes, he can walk at the end of the year, and we get absolutely nothing. But.....

This would also mean that Howard would not get a MAX deal. We know that Howard will accept nothing less than a max deal, which means Kings (or whoever ends up getting Howard), would still get "something" when he leaves. In my proposal, I'm totally conceding that Howard is Gonzo. I don't mind that he's gone, because I know that we are guaranteed draft picks and players in the eventual S&T.

I am going to try to help this thread.

Discuss.

There is something seriously wrong with the testosterone-driven participants of this thread when they ignore that post in favor of further discussion of the OP. I'm beginning to become alarmed.

Why is this thread still going? This is a horrible idea, end of story. Move on. I thought for sure this would never get past 1 page.

he'll end up on the Lakers. Of course Orlando will prefer their offer of a couple of second round picks over Houstons offer of a whole roster.

Yeah, I have no idea why Orlando hasn't finalized a deal with Houston yet (maybe they have and have to wait for a deadline ?) . Houston got some great talent in the draft in Jeremy Lamb, Terrence Jones and Royce White. All of those guys could be serviceable starters for a young team trying to rebuild. Plus Houston is willing to take some of the horrible contracts, and I think they are offering even more good players to Orlando, besides their recent draft haul. I don't know what Orlando thinks they can get that is better than that.
