statistics are the most evel kind of lies because they can provide palse hope

Statistics are not lies, they are pure truth. They are merely a representation of fact. However you cannot look to statistics for the total truth. You take them with a grain of salt just like anything else. What these particular stats suggest in general, is that when we hit our shots we have a good chance to win. I think we already knew that.

Statistics are not lies but they can be interpreted to mean just about anything you want. They are not necessarily a "representation of fact"...

HUH?

But what do the stat "facts" tell us?

absolutely nothing but the obvious: when our guys play well...we win more games. but our guys don't collectively play well enough to win all that many games. they also don't suck enough collectively to lose enough games to put them in prime draft position.

Do these statistics say anything about Bibby and Miller not being able to guard 90% of the players in the league at their respective position. Or, the ability to make a clutch shot in the last minute, or a clutch stop?
