Andrei Kirilenko drawing interest from the Kings, Spurs, Nets, and Cavs. AK47 free agency has been surprisingly quiet.
Well, the Kings are really the only one out of that group that has decent cap space (if they amnesty Salmons), so...I have a feeling AK might end up back in Europe, unless he gets something like 3/21 out of the Kings.
so if we amnesty Salmons, how much would we be able to offer him? im assuming the FO is trying to trade one of Hayes/Patterson/JT and a at least one of Jimmer/Thornton/IT.
But really the only way he comes here is if we can offer him a lot more than teams like the Spurs, i can also just see him going back to the Euroleague, seems like he likes being at home, just plays over here for the bigger payday.
How aggressive do we want to be when it comes to signing a 32 year old player I guess is the question?Spurs already tried to do a S&T with Minny, but Minny declined. Think that's the only way SA could've obtained AK after resigning Manu and Splitter. I think the Kings really could have him if they're aggressive.

If you're Kirilenko, how much more would the Kings have to pay you than the Spurs or the Nets to go play for them?

Also the July 17th date is last date to amnesty Salmons, I hope Kings let AK47 know if Minny is not going to do a sign and trade to help AK get a 3 yr contract
that he needs to decide soon, so we have the option of letting Salmons go this next week
otherwise all the teams interested would have to do a lot to clear cap space, and if Minny does not cooperate AK may have a problem
I agree. This is the kind of player you overpay for. This type of pickup would help to establish an identity and change the culture. Yes, we would still lack a dynamic playmaker, but one could argue that the defensive improvement would help to cover that deficiency. AK is no slouch, offensively, either. An amnesty of Salmons opens up money, and if we can somehow, somehow, find a taker for Hayes, it could be done.
If the FO wants to be aggressive, this is their chance.
