I'm Speechless

yeah.. we suck... why are you surprised? didnt you get the memo?

Guys, we got crunched by a better team on their home floor in the 4th game in 5 nights without our best player. I mean, this is hardly a shocker. I know its taking this fanbase getting some used to the idea of not being a powerhouse, but this was pretty predictable.

Totally agree. However, it is not making the change in mindset any easier for me. *ouch...double ouch*:(

in other words, much more to come?

Definitely agree.

Except.... for some reason this just didn't feel, to me, like a typical blowout. Musselman really, really searching. Guys turning around and glaring at each other after layups.

I don't know. Maybe it's just one game and the team will bounce back. But I don't remember feeling this type of doom after the Dallas blowout.

Its not fun accepting and being ok with defeat
I don't think its being ok with defeat. I think its just a matter of not having such overblown expectations, that a fans are kidding themselves. I want the Kings to win every game. However, I am able to recognize that, in reality, we have a team that will be lucky to make the POs. Do I accept that? For now, because there isn't a magic bullet that's going to improve this team overnight.

I agree that it felt different. I don't even know if I can describe it.

When I saw the starting line-up, I thought, "are you kidding me." I think it just went downhill from there.

I LOVE MY KINGS! It was, however, an ugly loss, partly for the reason you mentioned, nbrans. They just are not looking like a team that is enjoying playing together. Of course, the fact that they never know who they'll be on the court with, cannot possible help.

I didn't expect too much from this season so it is a lot easier to handle losses like this.

Some people thought that just by adding Artest we will be a contender over night. Matter of fact is that we are still a new team, early in our rebuilding mode. We have at least another year or two of basketball full of ups and downs.

Yeah, that's very true. And the thing I need to remember is that the worse this team is this season the better it is in the long run. This is the most important draft in years, and the Kings might as well just try and establish some sort of chemistry while having these types of nights.

Of course, I'm not sure how playing Jason Hart and Corliss fits into that strategy, but I'll leave that to our esteemed head coach.

4 games in 5 nights. Back to back games with second game being on the road. 4-5 good teams in a row. Our best player is hurt:

I am guessing this may be the low point of the season. I'm not sayng we will be great - but things will look up from here IMHO.

There is a magic Wolf, though that could sure help. ;)

Besides, the Bullets don't exist anymore.... :D

I still blame alot of the lack of cohesiveness offensively on the Webber trade, but thats a whole other issue. That was one of the worst trades in the history of this franchise. Not as bad as Jim Peterson for Ralph Sampson, or Woodson and Drew with pics for Derek Smith and Franklin Edwards...but its probably in my top 5. Here I go again with hypotheticals...just think of our line-up of Miller, Webber, Artest, Martin and Bibby. MUCH better than Miller, Artest, Martin, Bibby and um...Thomas...errr....Reef...um. Anyways, does no good to bring up old news, I know. Petrie's gotta pull something out of his hat, this offense is NAUSIATING!

Webber is not the answer for what s wrong with this team.

The Kings need a legit front court player end of story. The problem is getting THAT player.

Magic did the same and still ended up beating us. Excuses won't help us now

As for the low point - it is still to come

This is exactly where I come from, we've been in decline for several years and while getting Artest last season saved us from hitting rock bottom and missing the playoffs last year I knew that was going to be a very real possibility this year as the team searches for its new identity. And I'm not sure its an entirely bad possibility either.

The only thing that sucks for me is not wanting to finish watching the game on some nights. But I'm sure it will get better down the road. We went 0-4 during a brutal stretch without our star player and if the ball had bounced differently a few nights we'd have been 2-2.

This game was a loss right from the start. I think Muss handled it just right.

We aren't going to beat the Suns under the circumstances that this game was played under.

He got a lot of the bench guys minutes against their starters and did some experimenting against a likely first round match up. I don't know how much more could have been done. He made the best of a tough situation - if you can't win today do something that will help you win tomorrow.
