At the Rhythm & Rims event and at the game last night, several petition gatherers were trying to get pro-arena signatures. Perhaps even saying that they were against STOP and wanted a new arena.
They misrepresented their true intent. They were gathering and getting paid for signatures that were to be turned in along with the STOP petition. In plain language, they tricked people into signing. They even fooled me on Sunday with their deception.
If you signed something pro-arena, you can withdraw that mistaken signing at the only organization that is really collecting withdraw slips. That is downtownarena.org.
Here is their website: http://downtownarena.org/
You will find a link at the top of the page to the correct form to withdraw your signature.
There is only one petition out there on the arena and that is the one from STOP. There is another fake group with money trying to help STOP. They are very deceptive and going to Kings games and events to collect unsuspecting fan signatures. Don't sign anything even if it sounds like it's pro-arena.
