Who would it be, and what would you say?

Going to bow out in a way with a simple video I would show the whole team but would mainly show it to Willie. Whom I will be watching closely with do or die glasses on. Hope he does.

Who would you most like to whisper to, and what would you say or do?

Interesting video for Willie, although Wallace might be a different specimen

I find that there is a difference of opinion regarding Willie’s issues. Some see it as a conscious situation, that he’s choosing to neglect rim protection and the dirty work in favor of expanding offense. I’ve always seen it as an innate, motor thing, in that it takes more work rate to focus on the dirty work, and out of his conscious control.

IMO it’s probably been expressed to him by hard nosed Joerger ad nauseum by now. He’s a talented guy though in some ways. It might take a certain situation to cover up his deficiencies IMO.

I think both Willie and Skal are in big need of some nasty. I think Bagley and Giles have it. But if there was a way to get into their subconscious and grow them some nasty, Willie and Skal would be one and two on my list.

Well there was a player who was about 6’7” and 220# or so that had that defensive and rebounding mindset with almost no offense.
He won several defensive player of the year awards and led the league in rebounds it seemed for most of his career.

I would love to see Skal turn into that without all the other garbage that guy had but man he was a player who you loved to hate if you’re team played them.

Of course I am taking about the Worm!

Could Wallace and Rodman even start in the NBA these days? Neither had any offense to speak of. They could not shoot and were not known for their passing. Who is the 2018 equivalent of those two?

Did the rule changes after the Bad Boys had their run make players such as these two almost obsolete?

Here is an out take from an article from those days and a link:

"--Hand-checking, a tactic which has forever had the tacit approval of officials, has been strictly forbidden in the backcourt and above the free-throw line. Contact with the forearm -- from the wrist to the elbow -- is all that's allowed. And the elbow must be bent.

--Below the free-throw line, one-hand contact is allowed -- but two-handed contact has been outlawed."

Curious why Skal? That’s who I see Bagley being if he learns to play defense. He already has Rodman’s second jump and tenacity in getting rebounds.

Ben Wallace would start without a doubt. He was an absolute beast defensively and would be a Jordan/Capela on steroids.

Rodman would as well but he would have to be paired with a big man who could space the floor. Best rebounder in the game and a good defender. He just couldn't be plugged into any lineup because the team would suffer offensively without the right guys around him.

Rodman would just develop a corner three and be good. He was an extremely hard worker. If he were playing today, he’d prepare for today’s game, and all he’d need is that corner three.

Rodman was a good passer and could handle well enough to get by. I know most remember him as a great rebounding PF, but he started his career playing SF for Detroit.

Wallace and Rodman could play today without a doubt. They would both out work any opponent. Your best defender and your best rebounder should almost always start. If one guy is both of them then you have something.

Both of those guys could make a living on offense with alley oops and offensive put backs alone.

Could Rodman and Wallace stay on the floor at the end of games these days? Free throw percentage was .584 and .414  Hack a Worm and Hack a Ben!

You can build a championship team around guys like that.

In today's NBA? Neither one could stay on the floor in the 4th quarter!

Here is what I wrote:
