If the Kings win game 2....

they started to work on it with game 1. You saw the collapse the Sonics had which showed a lot of their weaknesses & how they're inexperience is a big factor on why it is possible that the Kings can pull an upset. Yeah sure stats may tell otherwise but fact of the matter is we got back from 21pts down & it was a game that went to the last minute/2 possessions to be decided on a night where arguably our best player Mike Bibby was nowhere to be found(well his last attempt was the last nail on the coffin) & had we sank our FTs(yes that dreaded, much debated topic!), we would've won.

Imagine how the Sonics must be feeling after pulling out the win. Yep, sure it was a big win big sigh of relief for them but if they really have the right mindset, this is a "terrible, ugly" win--I'm sure they'd take it but they've been exposed. Now we are the instigators/aggressors & they are the retaliators on the back of their heels. All the more that the pressure in on them knowing well that we can beat them flat out even without all of our starters healthy. We need game 2 but i wouldn't be too worried about how it may turn out compared to how game 1 went.

After all the misfortunes we've been through, nothing's a surprise for me anymore. It's only bound to get better.

Go KINGS!!!!

Finally someone that see it like I do. Bibby will not have another game like this. And still only losing by 5 points.

i agree as well...bibby had an off night...hes carried the team for 82 games...he'll get his shot back, and the instant impact that miller gave was so refreshing i cant wait to see how much more of an impact he will have...bobby is goin to find his shot..and otag def stepped it up..the more i think about it the more i am excited..i cant wait til game 2

GO KINGS!

Sonics missed a lot of open 3's, so don't be surprised if they play much better offensively.

so did the kings.... bibby and bobby had some open shots and clanked them horribly....

The Sonics came out with a lot of energy to start the game. That was the difference, we couldn't stop the momentum they generated from the start until very late in the game. I'm sure the Sonics don't feel like they played very well, but we have to be realistic and say that the Kings played some of the worst basketball of the year. I think the Sonics did panic at certain points during the comeback. Brad Miller will play more minutes on Tuesday. The second game back from a major injury is always the worst, so you can count on Bobby to do something. Bibby isn't shooting that bad ever again, I guarantee it. It's not just the percentage, it's the way he missed badly on shots and didn't create any shots for others.

It'll be very interesting to watch the first few minutes of game 2. Will the Sonics come out with the same energy and aggression? What if the Kings match it, or just shoot the lights out against it?
There are some guys on the Sonics who're very proud of how they played on Saturday. In reality, they snuck out with a win where they didn't play very well. The onus is on them to play better just as much as it is on us. If they shoot 36% again, they'll lose big.

I agree, the beginning of the game was the killing point for us, they came out 9-1 and we never lead the whole game. I really thought we were gonna pull it out in the end, i know if bibby had been hitting that we woulda won, even when we were down by 21, i told myself "if mike gets on, we got this" because honestly, the sonics weren't playing good at all in the second half. What i really think we need to do is put someone like kenny on rashard...i just don't think peja can stay with him. Not saying i don't believe in peja's defense, he can defend when he needs to, but i think if we put a bumper on lewis then he can be stopped fairly easily, just someone to bother him. Not someone to shoot over ya kno. Anyways, Game 2 is in the bag, as long as we come out tuff...not like last game. Bibby will be ready this time, this i promise you!!!!

It was the first time playing as a whole team after all the injuries and distractions. Kings can get used to it. They have game 2 for sure this time... (although we said that before...) i'm pretty sure this time.

To stop Lewis you have to force him to not take that turn around jumper on the baseline. He was killing us with that shot. He takes the turnaround jumper in the same direction all the time. Once he starts trying to back Peja up all peja has to do his wait till he picks up his dribble and take away his turnaround. Once that he takes it away from Lewis he will be forced to either take the jumper turning around to the opposite side which is more difficult since it is his off side or he will be forced to pass it off. The way I see it is if you can control Lewis even some what control him the Kings will have a good chance of winning. Radmanovich is coming off an injury to and he will be ineffective for a few more games. With Rad gone Sonics only have 2 proven scores in Lewis and Allen. Take one of those away and seattle will have a hard tme keeping up.
