If only we had Peja and Webb...

My problem with saying "If only we had Peja and Chris......" is that it quite possibly negates the good of winning on Sunday verses Minn.

No it doesn't. In fact it even further underscores what an accomplishment that game on Sunday was.

Everyone loves a hustling underdog win, but precisely because they are underdogs and they CAN'T do it on a nightly basis. Tonight's game just emphasized that -- its going to be a struggle every night without your two best players. If we win, its a nice accomplishement. If we lose, chances are that having the main guns would make a difference on most nights. Not an excuse, just fact.

Just look at the Pacers in the games right after the brawl. They get unexpected and inspired play from some guys not even the basketball junkies know about....and then reality sets in. As ironic as it sounds because how much people yearn for it, hustle and effort can only you get you so far, at some point the pulse of the NBA, talent, comes a beatin'. Look at a the Grizz team last year or the Jazz team. I used to call them the hardest working teams in the NBA, that was why they won games. But most of the time, and espesically when push comes to shoving, talent, 99.9% of the time, wins out

This is only the 3rd time in 500+ games that we have not had both Webb and Peja. We've won a lot for a reason. Whenever we are shorthanded, win or lose, you can really just throw it out the window and call it an aberration of an 82 game season.
