I Know, I Know...another trad thread....DARKO!!!

bbb

G-League
I brought this up in another thread while discussing Darko. I just wanted to create a new one to make sure everyone saw it:

How about this trade involving Darko

Sacramento trades: C Brad Miller (15.6 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 3.9 apg in 37.3 minutes)
PG Bobby Jackson (11.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.3 apg in 21.7 minutes)
C Greg Ostertag (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 9.8 minutes)
SF Peja Stojakovic (19.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.0 apg in 38.8 minutes)
Sacramento receives: SF Tayshaun Prince (14.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 37.0 minutes)
C Darko Milicic (1.3 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.1 apg in 6.1 minutes)
PF Antonio McDyess (9.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 23.6 minutes)
PF Rasheed Wallace (14.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.8 apg in 34.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.7 ppg, +1.5 rpg, and -2.9 apg.

Detroit trades: SF Tayshaun Prince (14.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 37.0 minutes)
C Darko Milicic (1.3 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.1 apg in 6.1 minutes)
PF Antonio McDyess (9.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 23.6 minutes)
PF Rasheed Wallace (14.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.8 apg in 34.8 minutes)
Detroit receives: C Brad Miller (15.6 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 3.9 apg in 37.3 minutes)
PG Bobby Jackson (11.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.3 apg in 21.7 minutes)
C Greg Ostertag (1.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 9.8 minutes)
SF Peja Stojakovic (19.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.0 apg in 38.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +8.7 ppg, -1.5 rpg, and +2.9 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Sacramento and Detroit being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Detroit had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the ...salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I don't know if Detroit would do this, but Sheed would fit perfectly into our system. We would allow Darko to develop as the backup 4/5 while McDyess starts and eventually have Darko start. Prince plays amazing D and is long and can also shoot well. I ...love this trade for us but I don't know if Detroit would do it.

New Lineups

Kings:
PG-Bibby
SG-Mobley???/Evans
SF-Prince
PF-McDyess/Eventually Darko
C-Sheed

Pistons:
PG-Billups
SG-Rip
SF-Peja
PF-Ben Wallace
c-Brad Miller

you must be smokin the good stuff........ after how peja played last night i would wait this out to see if maybe hes been having a bad year and he just decided to pick it up.......... but DARKO? LOL you cant be serious........

No Thanks. :) I'll rather have Brad than McDyess and Darko. Maybe if it was Brad for Ben Wallace, Rip, and Prince..I'm OK. Not happy about the trade cause I love Brad, but just OK. :D

As mentioned in the OTHEr thread where you posted this -- why? Where'd this come from? What's the point?

why would detroit ever do this? their gm just wakes up one day and decides, "hey, you know what? my defending champs just aren't cutting it. one of the best records in the league? forget it, we need to take a massive gamble and retool our entire system."

same for the kings. bring in new guys who don't fit the system as well and completely undo everything that they've been building for. if you really want to watch darko, sheed and tayshaun, go watch the pistons.

i've got a better idea, lets trade our entire starting lineup to cleveland for lebron.

how is that disgusting???

we greatly improve our defense with sheed and prince and our frontcourt with mcdyess and darko

WORST CASE SCENARIO: we remain in the middle of the pack in the western conference, except now we could play defense

BEST CASE SCENARIO: Darko lives up to the hype, or at least comes close to it. If there is one place where he should feel comfortable, it is Sacramento, where the media pressure is not what it is in Detroit. A change of scenery could help him and if he blossoms into the all star that his talent suggests he is, we would be amazing. Remember, he is only 20.

that is disgusting because Prince is the only player i would want on my team. Darko will NEVER pan out in the NBA. He is a softy. Mcdyess is like Webber lite. Sheed is a good player but has his own agenda and hangs out on the perimeter way too much. The only reason he gets away with that is b/c they have Big Ben back there to control the paint.

NO WAY!

We need Brad...Kings run their offense through him. I think our D is decent. With Skinner and Thomas already, I think we're improve a bit there. No need for McDyess and Darko to improve it especially losing Brad, the guy who's the biggest piece to the Kings puzzle.

If Darko comes to Kings...it should NOT be for Brad. Maybe for Erik Daniels..OK. :D

Darko who??

He was one of the biggest draft rankings mistakes in last ...well since the beginning.
He is not nor will ever be NBA material.

I got some high-grade Jamaican for ya, maybe you can then post a thread about trading Special K for Lebron :D

Governmental concept -- doesn't exist on a private message board. But I try to be fairly liberal with freedom of dumb threads. ;)
