I know for most this is obvious, but Petrie made the right choice

How do you feel now about the #4 pick?

search for it in the archives, what was the name of the thread?
I am thinking of that thread when the schedule finaly came out. A lot of people were predicting where the team would be before December.

The other one was that thread asking people who they think Petrie will draft on draft day.

i was such a positive person back then. kinda, sort of, not really... but i was so down for the 30+ wins... since the day i saw the schedule online...

i so called our november schedule....

I don't really understand why people would hide their opinions... it's a message board for the love of pete. Even a pessimist like me that wanted Rubio is ecstatic with what I've seen from Evans. Brick's quote in VFs signature should be the de facto war cry at Arco. The kid is a monster and there's no shame in admitting that nobody saw a combo guard that is playing out of natural position putting up these kind of numbers. It's one thing to be an eternal optimist and a homer (nothing wrong with that) and guess gaudy numbers and wins, and completely another to have some sort of formula for coming up with your thoughts. No matter how you break it down, we're very well off. Considering last year's train wreck, we gotta be up for some sort of comeback of the year award. Most Improved Team?

I'll be honest. I wanted Rubio. Soooo bad. I almost flipped out when he dropped to us but we didn't pick him. That being said, I am very happy with Tyreke and everything he brings to the table. He very well could be the best player from this draft.

Rubio. Because we need to pack Arco again.

The ONLY reason I wanted Rubio, I'm happy we got Evans.

But still, I wonder: would attendance be averaging about 15,000 / night right now?...

Eh, that's life. We got super rookie.

It's hard to say with any degree of certainty, but if you accept the premise that Rubio would not have had the immediate impact Evans is having, then I think you have to draw the conclusion that the Kings wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting right now with Rubio as they are with Evans and company.

If you watched the Olympics or any of the international competitions, I think even the most loyal of Rubio fans would have to admit he doesn't generate anything close to the same level of excitement we're seeing from Evans.

I wanted Rubio but I figured he'd go top 3 and when the Kings traded for Sergio I was pretty sure they were going Evans and based on what I knew I was happy with that despite not being very personally familiar with him because all the glowing reviews I had read from the pre-draft workouts.
