I should note BTW, that unfortunately this is a pretty slim rumor. A Chad Ford rumor. In which he pretty much says that Thabeet doesn't fit their current plans, and he believes he could be had if a team offered up a veteran presence. Not even some shaky source, just Chad's belief. And the belief is that the Grizzlies, who are amusingly win now in an attempt to make the playoffs and double their fanbase to 6, will trade him in order to get some more immediate veteran defensive help. Unfortunately we are one of the last places you would go to find veteran defensive help, especially if we are talking big men. Does Hilton count? Little Kenny and his ender? The Noc as good defender fallacy? Might have to get a third team involved if we were serious. And if he's even available -- at the start of the season the Grizzlies' owner was pretty fiercely in Thabeet's corner and not interested in any of this stuff. Would like to hear something more than Ford's "belief" that that has changed.
