What people may not have realized about George is he's not back in the game for us, its for him. And he's not really coaching our team. He wants to coach his. This is very much about ideology for him, about proving he was right (ego) and Denver was wrong. About proving that his ideology was the right one. Look around the world and tell me how many rational decisions are made in pursuit of ideology.

Karl reached 11 to 19 late in the season, after a troublesome episode in the franchise, with Gay, DC and Cousins hampered by injuries. In fact that's not bad at all. For me it's not Seattle vs Denver Karl. I think this guy knows what to do to win NBA games at least in the regular season, which obviously would be a step forward for the Kings and DMC.
Karl knows that this team is better with DMC. He can't deny that DMC is an elite big man. The Pelicans wouldn't trade AD. The Clippers wouldn't trade Griffin. Why on earth would Karl want to trade DMC? We will never get back equal value in this trade. Karl has a window of 3 years to get as much wins as possible. Why should he hamper his chances by alienating DMC?

Vlade confirmed there are issues between him and Karl. Of course there are. Karl openly defies Vlade whenever he sees a camera.
For all his success, Karl alienates half the fan base everywhere he goes.
Karl had a chance to clear the air and didn't. He's openly gone against the rest of the organization twice now.
And now he's hidden away, far from the cameras, where hopefully he remains.
No doubt in my mind he wants to move Boogie. There's also no doubt in my mind they'll fire him before that happens. As they should.
Downplay all you want, but there's fire here.
I don't think it's an assumption. I look at Brick's comment as an educated opinion, with a lot of credibility behind it. Brickie has been right pretty much down the line on most of this stuff. I've watched the NBA for over 40 years. A lot of the stuff Brick says is based on years of him studying the NBA. He backs it up with examples and facts.
If you've listened to George Karl, it's all about George Karl. And when you're a head coach headed to the Hall of Fame, it's obviously working. BUT it comes at a price if you're coaching your last team before your legacy is set in stone.
I firmly believe Karl can finish his career on a high note in Sacramento, but he is definitely going to have to keep his ego in check. And if Vlade hadn't been so clear last night, I'd be a lot more worried about the Kings.

Well. I don't want to offend anyone. But I tend to disagree.
I am all for this - being a big happy franchise.
Just like when Malone was not able to go along with the vision of the organization, we let him go. We should give Karl the same dose that we gave Malone.

Malone had it right. All the other fired idiots had it wrong. A major disappointment is that we could not have gotten Vlade in here in time to save Malone. Then we would have had a straight shooting coach and a straight shooting GM and a giant cushion for Cuz. Instead we still have a back dealing drama queen in the mix, and it still has the potential to mess things up.

What is flat idiotic is saying Malone is right and assuming one's self is the only one right in every argument and that everyone is idiotic. The same attitude Malone used, the same attitude Karl is now using, and look at the mess we are in now. I am sure glad fans like us are not directly connected with the organization or there would be more drama, misunderstanding, and chaos.
Can anyone just emulate Cousins?
The organization says we should run more, Cousins support it and was willing to try and says he can run. Period. Not much drama.
