He is forcing so many turnovers this season. He is showing no hustle whatsoever, his fouls are not even fouls. He taps the guy for god's sake. It seems like he is back to his old ways. It's like he doesn't even care. He's not playing smart at all and the crying about fouls is getting old. Maybe the refs are tired of listening to your whining. Get your head in the game.

WTF??? Why are you creating a thread about Brad. The whole freaking Kings team doesn't want to play tonight. Don't blame EVERYTHING on Brad. He's NOT the problem.

This has been going on all season. not just tonight. he's had about one solid, smart good game. He is just making bad decisions I'm not used to seeing him do. And where does it imply that I'm blaming anything on Brad. This isn't a complaint about the team. It's only about Brad Miller right now.

Why are you complaining ONLY about Brad? Why don't you look at the WHOLE team. Are you saying that Beno, Spencer or John hasn't made any mistakes? I have seen all of them whining about fouls...its not just Brad.

Alright, I'll make a thread about John and Beno and their problems. Would that make you happy? I know that there are other problems! I'm just stating an observation about Brad that needs to change. I chose Brad because I think he is one of the biggest problems at the moment. You might have your own opinion. I mean, seriously.

Brad has always had a problem with whining too much. I’ve always hated that and even Ron said that we need to stop talking to the refs all the time. And even though I hate us complaining, there’s more problems on this team than just Miller.

If you take out the fact that it hurts the team, Miller is pure entertainment when he thinks he should have gotten a foul call. First comes the hands, then the face where he looks like hes about to cry, then sure enough, that frustration foul (usually a point guard). It gets me every time.

Sent Salmons and Miller to Miami for Shawn Marion....They need a pg and center and we can clear Marion off the books this year......

Miami isn't going to sacrificing cap space for Miller and Salmons. If Miller is traded this season its gonna be to Cleveland.

I also don't think Brad is the biggest problem.

I completely agree with the OP. I've been saying this for days, actually.

You're right, kennadog, Miller isn't the biggest problem. However, while not being the "biggest" problem, the saddening truth is....that.....he's indeed still a problem. A pretty big one, matter of fact. He's a veteran, and by crying, whining, and not playing aggresively, he's setting a very pathetic tone for the team.

I don't want anyone responding to me, saying "you're wrong, he's playing hard and with enthusiasm" - like someone did to me yesterday. I think it's fairly noticeable that he's not playing with a grain of interest. It's very disappointing. I'm expecting Brad to be more of a leader on this team with all the experience years under his belt. Remember last game? You won't see a veteran like Brad nearly airball a shot in the clutch like he did. That's embarassing. Get your darn head in the game, Mr. Clutch 52.

The other huge problem the Kings have is the next very obvious one - Beno Udrih. He's obviously not anywhere near a good starting point guard. He's an average back-up guard at BEST. I'm seeing lots of games from him with numbers such as 10/4, 15/2, etc etc.. Meaning he can't really score consistently, and neither is he any good of a distributor. An obvious argument to his pathetic assist average would be "Kings don't have enough good shooters, and they keep missing his great assists", and that's simply not true. Sacramento DO have a good core of shooters, and Beno is likely just....not.....a good point guard. I think any reasonable person will agree that he shouldn't be starting, and neither does he deserve the generous contract he received.

Miller. Udrih. The 2 biggest problems.

(btw, kenna, that whole post wasn't directed to your one-liner post, sorry about that, just got carried away a little.):)

I completely disagree w/dumping on Beno. Miller OK, but Udrih is currently #1 HOT Fantasy Player in NBA. #2 Paul Pierce #3 Derrick Rose
Beno has averaged 21.3 pts over past 6 days, FG % .532 (headed higher since he was 4-5 FG tonight against Griz) 1.7 steals (headed higher since he had 4 steals tonight)

Unfortunately, the "hottest" doesn't mean a player is any good. Mikki Moore could be the hottest player for a while like Beno is right now, and so can anyone else. Sure, Kings have been losing some games while Beno was averaging "pretty good" statline, but what happened in the first games of the season? What about tonight? What about last year? Remember his turnover ratio exceeding his assist ratio for many games? I think it was rather obvious since last season that Beno isn't that good of a point guard to start on your team. Do you honestly think he's a good starting PG?

While Beno isn't THE reason the Kings have been losing games lately, he definitely chipped in pretty well to the crappy record Sacramento has right now.

Brad ain't the problem. He's having a great year! The only problem is that he keeps Spencer and Jason on the bench.

I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with our current trend of games. It leads to only two options, both of them good.

1. Due to the very close games we've had with top teams in the league so far, you could say we are on the rise. We will bounce back after K-Mart returns for a surpise high40s win season and make the playoffs. First round exit.

2. Alternately, bad guard play and, green rookies, and old vets clogging up the system will lead us to a mid 20s win season and a big shot at the #1.

Right now, option 2 is not only looking (much) more realistic, it seems like the favorable outcome.

When we get our 3 key players back, mid 20s in win total is nowhere near realistic. I know we are fans but my god, some of you go from "lets have a parade for the championship" to "OMG were gonna win 15 games! Fire Theus!"

It's absolutely ridiculous.

Well, with option 2 I'm assuming the realistic ideas of either or both of Salmons and Miller being traded. If that happens, a mid 20s season is almost a for sure.

Again, that's not really a bad thing.

You guys are all seriously delusional...

Clearly we lost tonight becasue we didnt have MIKKI MOORE!

Be careful what you say about Brad. There are a lot of posters on this site who will bash you if you are too harsh about Brad. I really don't understand how anybody can stick up for this guy at this point.

In all seriousness, the reason there are numerous "I'm sick of Brad Miller" threads is because most fans have reached their collective boiling points with Miller. If the guy just went out there and played hard every night and focused on the things he does well then I don't think fans would be upset with him. But it's the constant drives to the hole, silly fouls, and his overall attitude that I think is getting old to most folks.

Brad doesn't handle losing easily, which I respect, but he doesn't channel that into positives. He would be much better off in a situation like Cleveland where his team would win and he would have a much lessor role on the team.

As someone who has "defended" Brad ... and other members of the team from "temper tantrum-type" rants, it's all about how the criticism is presented. Name-calling and puerile comments may have their place somewhere, but I don't think it helps foster intelligent discussion.

On the other hand, your criticisms above are fair and without personal attack against Brad. It's comments like yours that will actually encourage further discussion, not the "Brad is a big poo-poo head" stuff that some (and I'm speaking in general terms here) seem prone to post.

Soo.....

Was it Brad Miller's 10/8/4 vs. the Spurs that really ticked you off, or was is the 20/11/7 vs. the Suns? To me that looks like 2 pretty good lines vs. 1 bad one in the past 3 games.

Listen, he had a bad game, and he looked like he really wasn't involved. Sure, fine, that'll happen with 2nd tier players. But to assume he is worthless, or mails it in on a nightly basis is foolish.

LOL, you've got Brad's mannerisms down pat. Then there's Brad mannerism part 2 package after he fouls the point guard - some parts repeated from above, at which point I feel cheated entertainment-wise. He needs to come up with some new material during the off-season (like lying face down and pounding the hardwood with his hands & feet. I think he has the acting skills to pull it off!).

PS - not really, just having some fun with Brad.

I don't really have a problem with Brad's stats, it's more his attitude I don't like. Like I said before, if he just stuck to what he does best which is shooting the basketball and passing the basketball then I think everybody would be better off. The fact that he loses his composure too often on the court is not going to make him a fan favorite.

this has been going on all season, EVEN in those 2 games. Stats are stats. They don't explain anything.

It's odd when after letting a team score 10-16 on three's you complain about your center. Yes Brad had an off game and was not able to contain Marc Gasol, but we did not contain anyone that game. This was a joint effort in stinking the place up.

1. Salmons did not make a shot farther than two feet away.
2. Douby went 0-9
3. Bobby went 1-7 on 3's
4. Every time Theus called a zone in the first half it resulted in a made 3
5. Our game plan of doubling whoever had the ball was a disaster
6. We were blown out and yet had as many steals as turnovers

If I was Reggie I would just go ahead and start Donte at SF next game and move Salmons back to SG. He can't do any worse on Defense or Shooting than Douby. And Donte is going to be on the team next year, Douby might not be here next month.
