how to win it all this season..

Tha Kali Way

Before you call this crazy/stupid idea think about who is a minority owner of the kings...

Let's make a trade and get kobe!! I'd give up mcclemore and a 1st rd pick for him. Just imagine how he could fit in.

I understand Derrick "The Fraud" Rose is also available; I just don't know that Kobe or "The Fraud" would work to win anything...

Short of a multiple "Day the Music Died" situation, I don't see any circumstance that could make the Sacramento Kings the 2015 NBA Champions.

How can you say Kobe won't help? He's playing at an elite level like he always has but the players around him are a joke.

No he's not... he is a shell of his former Kobe physically (basically, he is a ball dominant jump shooter now) and a locker-room menace...

Someone hasn't seen Kobe play dude takes every shot and is shooting 38%

Oh ya why give up assets for him unless they want DWill straight up.

Last point; last time I checked, the Lakers were 1-7; sounds like he is an elite player alright.... no wait, he is a stat player on a last place team...

Kobe isn't playing a lick of defense right now and he's just being an inefficient shot chucker. He isn't playing at an elite level. He's basically playing like a taller Isaiah Thomas right now

Why would this be locked?! Kobe will be on the trade market if the Lakers continue to play like this.
First off, how about you break down exactly why it's a good idea and why that would make us contender. It won't, but at least show you have an inkling of analysis to offer.

Second, in what world does Ben's rookie contract, plus a 1st round pick we can't yet trade come anywhere near Kobe's 23.5M? Try plugging that into the ESPN trade machine and watch your computer break.

Well first of all, you posted a trade idea in the wrong section of the forum.

Secondly, there have been reports that Kobe does not want to be traded nor do the Lakers want to trade Kobe.

But from what we can tell, talking to industry sources familiar with the Lakers’ thinking, No. 24 isn’t going anywhere. He’s got a no-trade clause and the Lakers have a no-trade mindset.

The Buss Family’s love affair with Bryant is well-known in NBA circles. “I don’t see them trading Kobe, not at all,’’ said one rival NBA team president. “The Lakers almost have to keep him, as much for business reasons as anything else, and I believe that’s what they’re going to do.’’

Thirdly, getting an old, inefficient, non-defensive Kobe will not give us a championship. Hell it won't even give us a championship next year. And Kobe has expressed interest to retire after his two year contract. Meaning we traded assets for a player who won't help us win a championship and that will leave us in two years. Great plan...

We get Kobe every game at home sellsout, I'd say 85-90% chance of making playoffs

So we went from winning the championship with Kobe to 85-90% chance of making the playoffs? This is a joke. You're all over the place. Why don't you sit the next couple of plays out Champ...

Kobe is the only reason anyone tunes into or goes to Laker games, theres no way they are trading that cash cow. Oh and hes not waving his no trade clause to play in Sacramento.

the sky must be falling...if we want to take this thread seriously, how about trading JT, Sessions and Williams for starters :D
