that clip is hilarious. the first time i saw it i had to keep rewinding. but there is no way he meant to kick wally-world in the face. on the positive side, i think some of the wolves fans and all of his teammates applauded.
it's within the rules to hand check in certain sitations, and within certain guidelines. those rules have been in place since the 1999-2000 season. since then, spurs got rid of many championship contributors like jaren jackson, jerome kersey, and other fat three point shooters that couldn't maintain their position on defense because their resorting to grabbing and pulling wasn't allowed anymore. now the spurs have quick of foot and hand players that hold their position and guide the offensive player into the frontline defenders when they can't. they touch and hand check and maintain a very small distance between themselves and their man. but it's not illegal. what the pistons do is illegal, which is why they have a hard time adjusting. sure, everyone complains about the spurs, but is it because the spurs are cheaters or because the spurs are successful? the latter.
i was watching part of the sonics game tonight. talk about a flop-fest, the sonics don't even care to play ball, they just fall down repeatedly. you gotta ask yourself, is that what you want the nba to become?
