Yea, he HAS brought us a lot of years of success, hasn't he?

Keep one thing in mind: No matter how bad it gets out there right now, we have lived through and survived worse.
Basically, my advice would be:
1. Quit trying so hard to spot problems. If there's a real team chemistry issue, you'll know soon enough. Trying to spot one before hand just means a lot of aggravation and nothing you can confirm anyway.
2. If you're a fan of a certain style of play - and not necessarily a Kings fan to the bone - you might actually have to consider looking elsewhere. The Kings this year may end up bearing little or no resemblance to the team you first started following.
3. Give them a chance to crawl before they walk, and walk before they run. Face the fact that the 2005-2006 Kings are, most likely, NOT going to surprise us all and win the O'Brien trophy. Could it happen? Well, yes. Will it happen? I'm sure not going to bank on it. This is a team trying to redefine themselves, and it ain't over yet. If Peja walks at the end of the year, the whole tone, style and focus of the team could well change...
4. Instead of watching for perfection, watch for improvement.
5. Keep a sense of humor. Don't take everything so seriously that you can't find something to laugh or smile about. I could tell you some of the things Kingsgurl and I use, but then everyone would know how really bizarre long-term Kings fans can be.
6. CHEER for the team. Anybody can cheer when they're doing good. You have to be able to reach way down inside and continue to encourage and support them through the though times, too.
I love this team. I did way back and I will as long as there is a Sacramento Kings to root for. That means I've dealt with disappointment, I've dealt with the ride of my life, and now I'm dealing - with the help of my fellow "veteran" Kings fans - with uncertainty and borderline chaos.
Being a Kings fan ain't easy; this is a season that will truly separate the wheat from the chaff.
GO KINGS!!!!!
