It's not the last shot by SAR that disappointed me, it was the playcalling leading up to that shot.
We weren't playing with the same "calm" as we were leading up to that point. It went into one-on-one and jumpshot mode.
We quit going into the post and relied on one-on-one matchups to get looks ... and we're just not talented enough to get away with that.
As for the final two shots - Ron Artest took a stupid shot. That was just a bad shot in all respects. It wasn't within our offense. It was a poor percentage look. It was over two people. Bad playcalling and poor execution. With the time we had, we should have looked in the post and perhaps kicked it out if it wasn't open. That should have been SARs call.
On the final shot, don't give it to a post player to drive and throw something up. If that's what we drew up ... that's just bad. I think SAR gets a bum rap when it comes to game winners, but damn, that's a low percentage shot at all times. That's the time Ron Artest should have taken the previous shot or Martin should have tried to get a look.
Bad, bad, bad execution.
