OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- New Orleans Hornets backup guard Bobby Jackson has five cracked ribs -- not one as first thought -- stemming from an injury in a November game.
A CT scan Tuesday revealed the additional injuries, and the team said his status remains day to day.
"The new information we learned today explains why Bobby was experiencing such discomfort after Thursday night and eliminates the possibility of an injury to something other than his ribs," general manager Jeff Bower said.
Jackson missed 16 games after what was diagnosed as one cracked rib during a Nov. 28 game against Toronto. He returned to the lineup Thursday against Detroit but missed the following two games because of pain and soreness.
Bower said Jackson will remain day to day because his ribs are "all in their sixth week of healing and he is recovering at the expected rate."

WTH? How do you crack 5 ribs in one incident unless you are in a car wreck? Anybody see it happen?

"Old person bones?"

Hey, just because you finally got your big boy voice, that doesn't mean that thirty-four is old.

Hmm... And I bet there were several people that said he was faking. ;)

If Bobby says he is hurting, then he is hurting. You can take that to the bank. Not surprised one bit that the injury was more serious than thought at first.

Take care of yourself, Bobby, and...

GET WELL SOON!

Oh, I meant no disrespect to the august senior members of the board. In fact, I someday hope to attain your venerable status, (the alternative being what it is.) ;)

But what I meant was that to an NBA body, one that's been pushed to its limits for a career, 34 is close to 64, which is close to time to retire.
