Hornet name returning to Charlotte

So, is this going to be one of those things, like with the "Thunder," where the owner denies the franchise's history, and pretends like they are an actual expansion team (speaking about the Pelicans)? Because, if the Pelicans act like they've always been the Pelicans, and the "Hornets" act like they've always been the Hornets, then where does that leave the Bobcats? My double main man never played for the Hornets; does that mean that his All-Star selection never happened?

I will never know why the NO folks would rather be the Pelicans when they could have been the Roux-ga-roux... go figgure

If MJ has his way, this might be what he wants. They never existed. :p

It's the best thing for that franchise. Charlotte still misses the Hornets which had a ton of publicity in the early 90s with Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson and the Bobcats have never won. Yeah that means that the Charlotte Bobcats become an interesting forgotten footnote in sports history, but they could use the fresh start. They weren't going to retire Gerald Wallace's number anyway. So he'll forever be the best player in Charlotte Bobcats history.

I remember seeing the Hornets play. Their color scheme was always interesting in s good way. Not surprised they want the name and colors back, the Bobcats have been awful and they'll probably want to forget that period in their history.

If the Pelicans owner wants to disassociate his team from it's history outside New Orleans. Then could the Bobcats (soon to be Hornets again) reclaim the Charlotte Hornets part of the Pelican's history?

The Cleveland Browns kept/got back theirs despite the current Browns team being an expansion team. So perhaps Charlotte could do the same and bring back their history.
