Hi All, first post, new to the Sacramento area...

my first time ever living in a city with a major sports franchise so I guess it's time to get my fan on. I would like to attend Kings games, can you buy decent seats at the ticket window before the games, or are they generally sold out? Thanks in advance, and GO KINGS!

Hi, and welcome!

Depends on your opinion of "decent" - your price range may not be the same as mine or anyone else's!

In general, most games last year were far from being sold out, so unless you are going to a game against the Heat or maybe the Lakers, there will likely be at least some tickets available.

Buying them at ticketmaster is one way, but they have HEFTY surcharges tacked on. Buy them ahead of time at the arena box office or through a Kings ticket agent if you can to save some dough and get the seats you want. If cost really isn't a big issue, get them at the game.

Welcome from Southern California KingsFans, all 52 of us. Single seats in all price ranges can be had at ticket window or just look in the Bee. Have fun. Go Kings.

Welcome! Right now, you should be able to easily get tickets for a Kings game at the window, except possibly Laker games.

So you live in another city, as well as Sacramento?

Word to the wise...you might want to go easy on the snark. As a fan of another team, you're a guest in our house.

hey it's all good AFAIC, nothing wrong with a little message forum smack, I can give as good as I get and look forward to it. GO KINGS!

I'm a Cali native as much as I am an AZ native (can you be a native of two different places..?) I went to high school in Sacramento for 3 years, lived in so cal for 4 years as well, I've earned my right to speak as a resident. I've followed the Kings through good times and bad, starting when I moved back to Sac in 2001. All in all, learn to take a joke. The Kings are in a battle to stay in Sacramento, and they are the only professional sports team, aside from maybe a lacrosse team or something, which obviously no one really cares about...and maybe the Rivercats if we're gonna include baseball farm teams. That's why I ma. bethde the joke. You need to relax, bud....breath in...breath out...repeat

When you come into a new place, it's always good to learn the way of the land. And it's also beneficial to learn the players before you start to play. You've made a couple of key errors, but there might still be hope. No one is questioning your right to "speak as a resident" or even to insult local sports. What is in question is why you've chosen to take a antagonistic attitude towards someone who is simply telling you to wipe your feet before you come in, so to speak.

All in all, learn to take a little helpful advice from someone who has been around a long time longer than you.
