All-Star
TRADE #1
CLE Gets: Ty Lawson & Ben McLemore
SAC Gets: Cedi Osman & Jordan McRae
Why? Cavs get a good backup PG to round out the rotation and another shooter. Kings get a good SF prospect in Osman.
TRADE #2
UTA Gets: Langston Galloway
SAC Gets: Raul Neto & UTA '18 1st Round Pick (Top 20 Protected)
Why? Jazz get another shooter/defender to help at PG/SG for their playoff run this year. Kings get a future 1st for a player who plays the same position as many of our prospect SGs.
TRADE #3
IND Gets: Tyreke Evans
SAC Gets: Monta Ellis & IND '18 1st Round Pick (Top 20 Protected)
Why? Pacers get out of Ellis' contract while still getting a player that can help them in the playoffs this year. Kings get a future 1st for a player who won't be here long term.
TRADE #4
NOP Gets: Arron Afflalo
SAC Gets: Solomon Hill & NOP '19 1st (Top 10 Protected)
Why? Pelicans get out of Hill's long term contract to help them build around AD/Cuz in FA. Kings get a future 1st & a player who might have a chance to become a 3&D player for a player who won't be here long term.
TRADE #5
LAC Gets: Darren Collison & Rudy Gay
SAC Gets: Austin Rivers, Paul Pierce, Brice Johnson, LAC '19 2nd Round Pick, & LAC '20 2nd Round Pick
Why? Collison for Rivers/Pierce/Johnson this year would probably make them a more competitive team in the playoffs, but adding Gay allows them to have his bird rights and sign him as their SF next to Paul, Reddick, Griffin, & Jordan (if they can retain all of their FAs). Kings get Johnson who was a late 1st this year and a couple of 2nd round picks for a couple of players who could end up leaving after this year.
TRADE #6 (Draft Day Deal)
LAL Gets: Kosta Koufos
SAC Gets: Timofey Mozgov, HOU '17 1st Round Pick, LAL '18 Pick Swap Option, & LAL '20 Pick Swap Option
Why? Lakers cut salary to give them more cap space to work with in FA & pick up a batter C at a more affordable price. Kings get a 1st and multiple pick swap options for taking on some long term salary during a time when the Kings won't be active players in FA.
