It's official and congrats NoBonus and Kingsnation! You were worthy opponents. Have fun at the Final Four!

Lowenherz, you were a fierce and worthy advisary. It was an honor duelling a player of your caliber.

Congrats to you, NoBonus. Although I'm disappointed my heroes crew fell just shy of the final four, as the Villains Commish, you've done us evil-doers proud toppling two of the world's most iconic superheroes, two gods, a legendary knight and a baddass space bounty hunter with your devilishly insidious plot and well balanced team.

Long live Senator Palpatine.

I still think it could have been interesting to have just the villains battle each other and the heroes do likewise, with the survivors meeting for a battle royale...

Heck, it's still only June. Maybe we should do a revisit of Heroes and Villains - using the teams already establshed - but having them battle within their categories before meeting their ultimate adversaries?

That is a possibility:). They may have been beaten once, but they will rise again, stronger than before!

Let's do it! We could even switch it up by making GMs only select 3 of their team to do battle...

I like that idea if we can choose which three before entering each individual match-up, but keep all six on our roster to chose from as the tourney continues. If a GM doesn't send in a choice, his/her opponent is given the honor :) First three as default if neither picks.

I like this idea, too. Quite a bit, actually...

Lets do 3 trophies then. One goes to the winning team in the heroes and villains playoffs (currently going on). The other 2 go to the winners of the individual playoffs (villains vs. villains and heroes vs. heroes). Sound good?

My thought would be to award the trophy from this current battle and then award a ultimate victor trophy to the survivor of the battle royale between the best of the villains and the best of the heroes.

Those seem to be pretty similar battles. Since there were a lot of upsets in the 1st round, we already saw some Heroes vs. Heroes, and Villains vs. Villains. I suggest that the next time around would be more like hero and villain tryouts, where the best hero and villain team each would receive a trophy. They already will meet each other in this current format...

I don't know. I think it would be better just to have another heroes and villains draft next year without using any of the heroes or villains already used.

Jespher - Sorry, but I still disagree. You're talking about giving two MORE trophies. I'm talking about only adding one additional trophy.

The heroes would have an elimination tournament to decide which one of them would advance to the ultimate battle. It might or might not be the same as what's happening now because of how the initial rounds went in these playoffs.

After the heroes champion is determined, the villains would also have an elimination tournament with the same goal - the ultimate battle.

Since villains would only be competing against villains and heroes against heroes, we wouldn't - for example - see people eliminating themselves, which always bugged me.

Once you have the Heroes champion and the Villains champion, they meet in the Ultimate Battle. The winner of that final round would receive the new trophy. If it ended up being the same person as who wins this round, they wouldn't get another trophy.

My suggestion was based on the initial disappointment that some villains were eliminated that were actually stronger than other villain teams only because of the heroes they faced. And the reverse was also true...

If it's going to get this complicated, though, I withdraw my proposal.

vikinginferno - It was a suggestion because there was an awful lot of effort put into these drafts and the team write-ups and I really thought people might enjoy taking another look at them that wasn't so complicated and confusing in the initial rounds. Having that many matchups all at once was confusing, it was difficult to judge and it was just too complicated. I was suggesting a slight redo to give more exposure to all the hard work you guys had done.

Having another draft next year is well and good but it doesn't allow for people to really appreciate just how much effort went into this year's product.

Unfortunately changing up this late in the game is probably just going to extend and confuse matters. And this way did have the advantage of everybody's heroes getting to have at least one battle with a group of villains. Kind of got messy but it wasn't all bad. You live and learn.

It wouldn't be changing anything, Brickie. It would be a second playoff series, NOT a change to this one.

As I said, I was simply trying to think of a way to get more exposure to give credit for all the hard work done by those of you who participated and were, for various reasons, eliminated all too early.
