I would say that a sauna accurately describes where I live. We have been hovering between 85-95% humidity. I rains every afternoon. You would think that it would help, but it does not. Instead after the rain, you can actually see the steam rise off the pavement. You can walk outside sometimes and not be able to catch your breath for a moment. Forget trying to stay dry. You clothes are automatically damp. I do not even bother to do my hair. I just pull it up in a ponytail and hope for the best. I have always lived in the south, so I cannot honestly compare dry/wet heat. All I can say is that days like this make me long to live on the coast again. At least then you have the ocean breeze. Here, even the wind is hot.
