Heat-Lakers Game Thread

Anyone watching... first play Lamar Odom gets 2 points + a foul but the refs take it back because Kobe was hanging on the Rim..... boy hes greedy.. he doesnt want anyone other than him getting points :D

I'm watching for the sole reason that I'm convinced Shaq is eventually going to lose control and snap Kobe like a twig.

I know he keeps saying he's the bigger man, blah, blah, blah - but I know deep down inside he (Shaq) would love to rip Kobe's arms off and make him eat them.

I'm watching just in case tonight is the night.

:D

I'm also liking how Kobe is calling for the ball EVERY single second. He reminds me of the sea gulls in Finding Nemo, "Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!"

Sorry, Gargamel, but I think Shaquille O'Neal has every right to be thoroughly and completely disgusted with Kobe Bryant, especially after reading what was said at certain times in the recent Bryant past that I won't go into here for obvious reasons.

No matter how good Shaq's team is doing, how well he's doing, etc. the media is STILL trying to find a reason for controversy. I honestly believe that sooner or later, Shaq is just going to reach his breaking point.

Shaq should know to expect something negative from a guy who he's done his best to alienate from 1996-2003. Door swings both ways. Kobe had plenty of reason to be disgusted with Shaq.

I doubt Shaq cares all that much that the media keeps going at that angle, otherwise he wouldn't keep playing along.

I find id absolutely AMAZING how both TNT and NBA TV are trying to STILL make this some Kobe vs Shaq drama...

i mean i can understand the first time (on Xmas) and i could understand if they were still kinda jabbing each other....but they aren't...its ridiculous...the media is gawking like this the Michael Jackson trial or something....you know they aren't even watching the game they are just looking at Kobe when the Lakers have the ball and then Shaq when the Heat have the ball

pathetic IMO

maybe they shuld focus on the fact that Lamar Odom/Caron Butler/Brian Grant are making their first return to Miami after giving that place their all last year...nobody is even mentioning that

Shaq and Kobe, are both at fault for things that happened at different times. I can't put one above the other

Granted. I'm not taking sides in this whole thing so much as I'm simply waiting for the train wreck to happen. ;)

And again, we're not really in disagreement except that I'm hoping if Shaq does snap it will put an end to all the ridiculous lengths to which the media has gone in their efforts to make this game something MUCH MORE than it really is - a game between an Eastern powerhouse and a Western not-so-powerhouse.

;) again.

I am confused. I thought Vlade had a 2 yr contract. Was it only 1 yr with a team option?

They're gonna firesale him otherwise Kupchak is more Napoleon Dynamite than I thought.

"Can you bring me my Chap Stik, Jerry West..."

"I like your sleeves, Phil Jackson..."

"Do you take your bike off any sweet jumps, Kobe..."

Yeah Vlade siad if LA does not pick up their option on his contract the only other place he would paly is Sac... don't think we need/want him back as a player but I am SURE the Kings organization would offer him a coaching job.

Loved the TNT clips showing the Lakers Centers from Wilt to Jabar, to Blade to Shaq ending in Mihm... looked like the evolutaniary chart in reverse!

i think it'd be great if the kings brought him back as an assistant coach. hell, he could simply be assigned to coach the big men in passing. he's definitely good enough to teach others. if vlade did anything for the kings last season, it was impart some wisdom to brad miller. it'd be great if he came back and passed it on to some of our new guys as well.
