Yeah Vlade siad if LA does not pick up their option on his contract the only other place he would paly is Sac... don't think we need/want him back as a player but I am SURE the Kings organization would offer him a coaching job.

I would love to have Vlade back...don't care if it's as a player or coach. I just want him back in the team/organziation cause he brings lots of morality to the team! Please come back to the Kings, Vlade!!! I hope the Lakers don't pick up Vlade's option.

eh....they'd be crazy to. vlade doesnt have much value anymore as a player, even if he can come back healthy. you might be able to squeeze one more year outta those old bones, but he'd have to condition like mad, and we all know vlade was never real keen on working out.

i think it'd be great if the kings brought him back as an assistant coach. hell, he could simply be assigned to coach the big men in passing. he's definitely good enough to teach others. if vlade did anything for the kings last season, it was impart some wisdom to brad miller. it'd be great if he came back and passed it on to some of our new guys as well.

Exactly my thoughts, assistant coach to help teach passing and stratigic defensive movment (read flop) to the bigs and to work with new guys in getting them comfortable with the system... he could even get Irate for Adelman and take the coaching T's!

I'm pretty sure Vlade's is a player's option. Maybe KA_2 can confirm, I'm sure he knows. If that's true, he ain't about to opt out. Even if he would want to retire, he could just be traded as an expiring K, bought out, and retire anyway (while being paid).
