Has Reke lost the lead in the race for ROY

I don't have an article, but it was said on Koz's show that the Eastern Conference Rookie of the month is Jennings, and the Western Conference is Stephen Curry. This was just announced today.

Would the Rookie with the most Rookie of the month awards automatically be a shoe in for the ROY?

Also I looked on ESPN's rankings and they list

1. Casspi??????????
2. Evans
3. Jennings

ESPN thus continuing their track record of ineptitude. Omri has done diddly-squat for the Kings in the past few weeks. TO have him ahead of 'Reke is puzzling.

If anything, the top three right now should be:

1-Curry (playing out of his mind)
2-'Reke
3-Jennings (Still putting up good numbers)

I think its still Reke, Hes avg 20.5pts 4.6rebs 5asts 1.5 stls..his rebounding has been down as of late. but he can still finish 20/5/5/1.5 that ROY numbers.

To answer your question simply: no. In fact at this point he's built up so much hype momentum that it would be hard to lose it even by the end of the season. Curry getting ROM in the West is legit -- he came alive in Jan and is in a system where he can put up numbers. Meanwhile Reke missed a few games because of injury and we did the whole death spiral. Even so here were Curry's number in January:
19.1pts 4.4reb 5.0ast 2.0stl
and here were Reke's:
20.7pts 3.5reb 5.1ast 1.6stl

Which is to say even in Curry's breakout month it was pretty much a statistical wash with reke doing his normal thing, and that consistency all season long is going to make Reke nearly impossible to catch unless he gets hurt.

That link to ESPN BTW has Reke #1, Curry #2. Its still the Thorpe thing and I imagine he was finally updating after hsi decision to give his client (Omri) the little bump back at the end of December.

Jennings has so little competition in the East that he wins again despite shooting 32% for the month.

What link are you usiing. I just reopened the link that I put up in my post, I still see Omri as #1

Clicking your link, I get Evans, Curry, Jennings - Omri not in the top 5. It's been a few weeks since Thorpe listed Omri at #1 for a single week.

That is odd. The only reason I posted the link is because, that's what I'm seeing. I wonder if the firewall here isn't refreshing, or something weird. I haven't ran into that before.

I survived on nothing else but Entenmann's choclate chip cookies, bagels, and hot chocolate in law school.

the east doesnt really have good rookies compared to the west...

if reke dominates jennings the second time (if they meet again) then lock the roy to reke. which is possible.

his shooting percentages though is very dismal.

It has to be the firewall, because I just cleaned out temp interent files, cookies, etc. earlier today.

Hold down shift and click on the browser refresh button. That will force a reload from the server rather than displaying a cached page.

hey Casspi is getting better, he had 3 good games, sure he hit the wall, and also was shaken by PW but he is getting back, and actually why is he still out on the bench?
