Happy July 4th

HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please don't be as stupid as some of my neighbors were last night, holding fountains in their hand as they were going off...sigh..

I'll be happy when tonight is over. Everyone on my block seems to be pointing their fireworks directly at my house this year.

Me too. Last year the kids across the street would light things and throw them at my house. Their parents did nothing about it.
Tonight there is a drunken party a few houses down...2 kegs of beer and pyrotechnics are not a good match. Besides, the loud, drunken shouting is getting on my nerves. It's scaring the animals too.

I had a great and fun 4th! Basketball, great food, fireworks, swimming... it was great.

How was everyone else's Independence Day?

Just got back from the Fresno Grizzlies Vs. Sacramento River Cats game... nice fireworks show... friggin Cats won... oh well fun game anyway!

I hate when they have fireworks at the Rivercats games. I can hear them at my house.

Glad you had a good time though Celt...even if those "friggin Cats" won.

It's 11 pm people...enough with the fireworks already!! Geez!!

11:30...come on people...

I had a pretty nice night. The only bad thing was that we didn't get a grand finale. Since I was little I've been going to the local park for a firework display and it has never been interupted. Why should it be, its a festival.

A helicopter started circling and sirens went off. A gang fight broke out. Someone was stabbed. People were pepper sprayed and tazered. The DJ played Ganstas Paradise, to lighten the mood. When we came home all they showed on the news was a 5 second segment about it.

I had a great 4th as well. This was my first since moving to Portland. For the last half of my life I have been in states/locales that ban fireworks sales and now I can cross the river into Washington and buy mortars. Crazy. I had fun and was safe. Watched 20+ different displays throughout the city and surrounding suburbs from the hill my house is on and then set a few off my friend brought over before retiring for a few drinks.

No fights/guns/sirens or that crap here thankfully.

are you in Rancho Mad D? I was wondering what that helicopter was all about.

maybe we can work it next year..my friend has a perfect view of the show from his front yard and the view from my backyard isn't too bad and we get out of having to go deal with the crowd...

I know this is late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. :D

Is it just me, or did it pass by way too fast? :(

Argh, where did the day go?
