Griz - Kings

I would say Memphis wouldnt do it, but ya never know after the Gasol trade, i sure as hell would do it, oh and 2 PGs is hardly a buttload.

Kings:
Quincy Douby

Grizzlies:
Kyle Lowry

Trade ID #4470037

Why mem does it? they have a buttload of pointguards. they get a good defender, talented scorer in douby.

Quincy Douby has been a big disappointment this year. He hasn't shown any ability to score consistently. But I think the Kings brass will give him one more year to get it together.

It is a bad sign though when a mid-season free agent addition (Udrih) leap frogs you in about two millli-seconds and takes away all the PT you hoped to get.

Let me check who would could have drafted instead of Douby...it could be scary:

These players were taken after Douby and look like the brighter propsects:

New York Knicks (from Denver) Renaldo Balkman
L.A. Lakers (from Miami) Jordan Farmar, Guard
Utah Jazz Paul Millsap, Forward, Louisiana Tech

Actually looking at the 2006 Draft, the list of real players starts and ends with players drafted 6 through 8. Otherwise, that was a HORRIBLE draft class:

6. Minnesota Timberwolves Brandon Roy, Guard, Washington (to Portland)
7. Boston Celtics Randy Foye, Guard, Villanova (to Minnesota via Portland)
8. Houston Rockets Rudy Gay, Forward, Connecticut

o yea, #2 is not bad either (Aldridge).

Give Douby a shot. He's had moments of brilliance and moments of complete ineptitude. Its only his second year. What I do know is that during some very clutch plays Douby got the job done and has played some impressive defense for a guy his size. He's not hurting us and he doesn't cost us anything real. So just ride his small rookie contract and make the decision when that's over.

Remember, it took Martin 4 years to get noticed by this team.

Heck, it took Nash a lot more seasons to get any PT at all on his team.
