Grant hints of blockbuster trade - title edited

Does this mean we get Tinsley too aside from Stephen Jackson and Foster?
If this is going to happen, looks like it's worth the wait after all. I'm not too big on Steph Jackson but getting Tinsley and Foster is a JACKPOT!

Rumors, rumors, and MORE rumors - just all consolidated.

Sorry, this could well come to pass but the idea of it all being based on "a story broken by Sacramento's Grant Napear" is beyond ludicrous. Grant didn't break a story. He repeated a rumor...

If a huge trade comes to pass, it won't surprise me if Grant tries to say he knew it all along but he certainly didn't have any of the particulars. I'm calling a pre-emptive "hogwash" on any such claims.

Hopefully Tins would be able to stay healthy in a limited/back-up role if the rumors true... I like him a bunch, but the guy hasn't been able to stay healthy the last two seasons.

Um...since the bogus story here was pulled down, anybody at least mind saying what it was? Jackson, Tinsley + Foster is a lot of talent, but its also a lot of bad Ron's old teammates and a pair of the most hated men in Indiana that those fans want gone as losers with bad attitudes. What was a deal?

It was a rehash of the whole mess, including all the stuff from the "leak" that turned out to be a phone call to the Atlanta radio station. Ezekiel has taken it down from his site, too, as he didn't realize at first the submitter was simply late in hearing all the rumors.

I wouldn't mind Tinsley, Foster, and Jax. Im overlooking the fact that they were Artest's former teammates and their reputations (Jax has a horrible attitude and Tinsley can't seem to not be injured for more than half a season). I like Foster, but is there any way of getting rid of KT and someone else rather than Bonzi. Its not like KT sucks (he just has to start) we just don't need or want his services or his attitide of "I am a starter and i have to be a starter". Too bad its a rumor though...

Etan Thomas. :)

Wiz want to clear out 1 or 2 of the slower/half-court guys in Haywood/Ruffin/Etan. Obviously we go after Etan, who's been in and out as their starting PF, and getting inconsistent utilization from Eddie Jordan. KT fits the mold of the mobile PF they want for the uptempo/small-ball, and brings them rebounding and toughness. Jamison is definitely a 3, and Butler and/or Jefferies (if he's back) can come off the bench or play SG, as they've done a number of times in the past with the Wiz.

Benefits both sides.

well, if we HAD to lose Bonzi

Bonzi for Foster/Tinsley
KT for Etan

would be pretty solid moves. We would pretty much be resigned to no elite big men, but would be doing the platoon thing with a pretty solid and versatile front line. defense, rebounding, outside shooting, and low post scoring strengths there, just not all at once. still no shotblocking :(

C Brad/Foster
PF SAR/Etan

still not dominant, but no dormat either. Tinsley then gives Bibby a break and Martin would have to step up. could be worse. I want no part of S Jackson on this team though.

I think its evident nothing major will happen as far as the blockbuster trade goes or else the GM's are still talking and trying to tighten up the trades but i doubt it really this whole thing was poop.

The most likely scenario is someone heard a tiny bit of something, and - as we've seen numerous times before with the Internet - it got taken, massaged, refined, and posted...spreading across cyberspace at the speed of light.

And it's still funny to me that a vague comment by Grant Napear now has 190 posts associated with it.

:D

Yeah, I don't really know which is worse; listening to Grant or actually hearing what he is saying. On one hand, his voice and quick temper are just plain menacing, but on the other hand, the points he makes are that of a rambling, depressed drunk woman; always negative and generally with some sort of disclaimer so he can never be wrong. If Grant didn't say things like "If you don't like that, you don't like NBA basketball!", I... well... I don't know what I would do... but it would be anti-Grant for sure.

Would you, perhaps...

(warning: You're gonna hate me for this)

Put him in the book and send him to the line?

Now it's 8 team 19 player traded what the hell???? it keeps getting added up and now it says its pretty much a done deal.

What are you reading? If you're on the article at ezekielbear, it's pretty much been thoroughly and completely debunked.

There hasn't been ANY recent information.

Dude, that's EZEKIEL's board. That's the exact article we've spent all day talking about. It's NOT TRUE. Even ezekielbear has said it was based on bad info. from some bozo who took Grant at his word and just added to it...

I guess Ezekiel's no prophet, huh?
