bench coming...
why ?
bench coming...
I completely agree.
Offensively our big 3 should not be:
Artest
Bibby
Miller
it should be closer to:
Bibby
Martin
SAR
Artest is not this offensive juggernaut. It's just not his game.
This team should be slapped for every time Martin doesn't shoot 15 times. This kid could get 20 a night on his speed alone .. just cutting to the basket.
SAR should be slapped for every time he doesn't shoot 15 times. Also, an extra slap for every time he gets 3 feet from the basket and passes it up for 3. He and Bibby are the only players that can get high quality shots at will.
Artest should be slapped for every running/moving 3 he takes or for every jumper he takes with hands in his face and 10 seconds on the clock.
Bibby needs to be slapped for the running, transition 3s. I hate those.
After all that slapping ... I don't know what to do with myself.
Well it looks like we've both lost this round, GGG, but our little dance has just begun...

For the record, that's the most awesomest post I've seen in a long time.
Bibby needs to realize he doesn't have KG rep and can't ***** to his hearts content.
And I am fine with Martin being peja like in scoring, because he is a our third option. The problem with Peja was the year he was suppsed to be the #1 guy and then quietly faded. Martin should be the third option after Bibby and Artest on offense and in that role, he's quite good.
ron cant consitently be a one or two option, especially not shooting a high percentage, who knows its not totally ridiculous to say that kmart cant lead the team of be the second scorer with around 20 pts..but on a high percentage
My thoughts exactly.nothing makes up for 6-24
Did anyone else see Kenny pull his arm awat from Ron Ron after one of his many missed layups. I think there was a timeout call and Artest was trying to tell him to throw it down instead Kenny gave him attitude.
It's JUST one game and IT IS the first game ... but, what a lousy season opener !!!
It was at least a little less ugly than last year's 67-93 season opener beatdown from the friggin' Hornets. That's progress, kinda.

Wow, that's true, I had forgotten about that beatdown.
Mo Taylor seems to be like a less athletic Billy Owens and it makes me sad to see him on the floor. Can anyone see how he adds anything to this team??
I'm not going to defend Mo Taylor very much after he stunk it up and got himself ejected, but he's reasonably equipped for what the team needs him to do. 10 minutes a game bodying up post players, keeping the ball moving and the occasional offensive spurt. He's not going to rebound, he's not going to block shots, but at $1 million and 10 minutes a game I don't know if we should expect much more. He wasn't brought in to be any kind of savior -- just to be a solid presence for one year until Petrie is able to improve the frontcourt through a trade or free agency.
like hi did this summer![]()
F's for everyone. Can't make a single shot, but can turn it over for 5 straight possessions.
artest does take a lot of shots, i think his d makes up for it though
Good bleeping lord.
Martin ( B ) -- 23 of the quietest points you are likely to see makes for a challenging grade. Leading scorer, only player who could hit anything, largely courtesy of his normal array of layups and leak outs, but...I dunno. Just no real impact. In the early going had a couple of hoops, but was largely kept out of the action by attentive Minnesota defense. Made his layups, but looked uncomfortable from the perimeter and got most of his points sneaking in for garbage hoops here and there. Reminiscient of a vintage Peja game where Kevin was the guy getting those easy points for us, but without great impact. Kept on chipping in scores here an there after half, but began to mix in forces and miscues, and joined the team in just going one on one in the 4th, turning it over repeatedly. Given Ron's meltdown probably the best King tonight, but a pretty middling game given the scoring effort (nice for my fantasy teams though).
Geez, BW, that's harsh. He had a tough shooting night, a night that he didn't look comfortable with the shot for much of the night (games like that DO happen) and he still ended up our high scorer. It was one game, I wouldn't give up on him yet![]()
