There definitely should be an all of the above option. This was a great TEAM win, and hopefully this will make Westphal realize that there are other options besides giving the ball to Tyreke and having everyone else move out of the way. Pooh should be getting major minutes from now on. He or Beno need to be on the court as our PGs at all times. Tyreke needs to finalize his transition to SG and work on developing the skills necessary to excel at that position.

I'm really happy about this win, but I am still skeptical until we pull off something similar against stronger competition than the Wall-less Wizards. Nevertheless, a W is a W and we needed this one. Hopefully, this will bring us somewhat back on track. And if Westphal is inspired by this game and miraculously goes back to being the PW of October-December 2009, then I will even be willing to jump off the fire-the-coach bandwagon.

Whether or not Tyreke continues to play at PG, I think the experience did him good overall. I have a feeling that if we'd started him at SG from day 1, he wouldn't have had the pressure to try to create for others and he may have become more selfish as a result. This season he seems to be finding the open guys much better and the chemistry between him and Omri seems better as well. A lot of times when he's forcing it I think is just him trying to get himself going, but the injury is really plaguing him. He really needs to get a consistent jumpshot though.

You could also look at the flipside and say he'd be a better scorer.

I'm assuming you mean this in the sense that he'd be able to score in more ways, and not stats wise right? I'm not so sure about that. He had to spend a whole offseason working on his jumpshot for it to look like this, god knows how bad it'd be if he just kept on shooting in games even with a horrible shot. He'd probably learn to move without the ball better, perhaps improve his post game a little bit, but I don't think the results would really show on the scoreboard.

Anyone who didn't vote JT should get punished! wow what a game for him man, all almost everything went his way tonight, he was awesome.

22 and 14! JT was great. The team played well together. Pooh is a great energy guy off the bench. Next up is Miami!!!

I think this season Tyreke's struggle with the ball in his hands might actually be a good thing for his overall development. He now knows that he can't do the samething every single time and get away with it in the NBA, so he should work on other parts of his game. If this makes him into a better off the ball player then this season's struggles will be worth it.

Nice game by the Kings. I realize that Washington is awful and it was the second game of a back to back, and on the road for them, but we've lost games at home to bad teams on the second games of back to backs.

I'll take it. Let's see JT do this consistently.

They were also without possibly thier 2 most influential players, but as you said - We'll take it.

I think just about everyone played well on the Kings. Landry had another sub par performance. he has really struggled to score and has been non existant on the defensive boards. Beno played a little better defense against the Wiz. Offensively Beno can have big games as long as the guards guarding him are on the smalish side. If Beno plays against guards his size who are just as quick, he usually has trouble. JT is really coming on! I think he should start at PF and bring Landry off the bench for now. Landry is struggling with his shot anyway and JT gives you much more on the defensive end. I can tell just by watching Cousins that once he "Gets IT", he is going to have to be double teamed every time. That will lead to more open shots for our shooters. Is something wrong with Cisco? He seems to be out of sorts lately. He was on fire early in the season and now he is barely getting any playing time. I think the combo of Pooh and Evans gives us our best defensive backcourt. Pooh is an irritating defender and Reke is a good defender at times as well. I really like the way Pooh pushes the tempo of the game. Forces the Kings to get into their offense faster, giving them more time to pass and get the best possible shot.I noticed they kept showing the Kenny Thomas err.....Carl Landry bobblehead. It looked like the Bobblehead was shakeing it's head NO, like NO I wont go get any rebounds! If you are a starting power forward in the NBA, it is required that you go after rebounds. Don't understand why Greene doesnt get more rebounds as well? 6'11" should be able to grab a few rebounds occasionally. I am having trouble understanding the effort level with regard to rebounding. Some players go after every rebound, some players are allergic to rebounds and I think they bat them to the other team! Anyway, good game against a depleted and road weary Wiz team that hasn't won a road game this season. Good job by the Kings to not be the first road win for the Wiz!

I think we won the rebounding battle by ten. Only one person can get the rebound. If we win that battle (JT had 14) and then win the game I don't believe which King gets the rebound is important. I think our rebounding this year is the best in many. Rebound stats come one at a time and only one of our stars gets it. I agree with you that we need rebounding.

Westphal had it right - Pooh was the player of the game. He made others better on the floor by his speed and quickness. I think Pooh should get 30+ minutes a game going forward.

That I fear could become counterproductive as teams started gameplaning for him. Change of pace guys often excel at precisely coming in and changing things up for you and jarring teams out of what they want to do. If they become your main guys that's awhole other ballgame.

Except he is the only one running the offense at the pace that a young team like us SHOULD be running for most of the minutes.

Notice Thompson plays better (even though he doesn't fill the stat sheet sometimes) with Cousins on the floor absorbing some of his fouls? Seems Thompson needs Cousins ont he floor to stay out of foul trouble lol.

Oh and also.. LOL @ +45pts difference when Thompson was in the game last night!

By that reasoning, a player can score zero points, but as long as our team scored enough points, it doesn't matter. Or a player can get zero assists, but as long as our team got anough assists to win, it doesn't matter. I could go on and on. Sorry, but that's just weak. Give credit where credit is due, but when a player is playing like crap, call it like it is.

On picking up Defensive rebounds:

Someone has to get them or they become points for the other team or at least second opportunities, but at the same time if someone leaks out they get a chance to score in transition easier if the rebounder moves the ball ahead. If no one leaks then there are fewer fast breaks.

I totally agree. Every player has the personal responsibility to play the best basketball they are capable of. Everyone has their roles. If you are 6'11" and athletic, you are expected to get rebounds. If you are a starting power forward, you are expected to get rebounds. It does not matter who gets the rebounds to win the game, but what does matter is that everyone on the floor is working hard to get those rebounds. I think the Kings have a couple of players who should be getting more rebounds than they have. Rebounding is all about effort. So a lack of rebound numbers certainly suggests a lack of effort on the defensive end especially. I believe Donte Greene should be getting 5-6 rebounds per game. I believe even at 6'9" that Landry should be getting 5-6 rebounds per game. It is about hustle and effort. If those 2 want more playing time, they need to put the effort in to grab defensive rebounds. It's like a point guard who has no assists. No matter how much they score, if they dont get the other players involved they are not having a productive game. The expectations of the position of point guard suggest that players playing PG should get 5-7 assists per game. Anything less is not meeting the expectations of the position.
