Jason Thompson got smacked hard in the face TWICE within a short period of time. He may well have been seeing double, etc. as I'm pretty sure I already noted here somewhere - or in the PBP thread.

So yes, there can be and most likely was a reason (not an excuse) for putting him behind Shelden for that game.

In addition? I think Theus wants to be completely comfortable with us not resigning Shelden, so he's going to give him enough looks to make sure. And I don't have a problem with that, either.

Rebuilding isn't a one or even two year project most of the time. If you're frustrated now, you're going to be ready for the padded room before it's over...

Directions please?

I don't agree with the assessment of Reggie on playing Brad. Brad will help the team win games this year - period. We're not likely to beat much beyond the cellar dwellers, so having him around to help get a win here and there is important. Yes, JT needs minutes, as does Hawes. I expect they will get them. But brad will start.

It was fun to watch the team play something that resembles defense in this one... how long has it been? it's like watching another team. the young guys play hard. i'm excited to see them play when they come to denver in Jan!

Ok, Soooo if JT's minutes were cut because he was hurt, then would somebody PLEASE explain to me KT being activated over Donte?

This just adds to it.

Those are NOT rebuilding moves.

And I've sat through many rebuilds and bad teams in my life. Most recently the SF Giants. How are they rebuilding?? -->>> By playing the rookies, even when it means benching your vets. (Ex. Omar Vizquel)

I'm sorry. Playing a player just to make sure he's crappy enough to release is not a reason to cut your #1 draft pick's minutes or any players for that matter. That's called bad management.

???

I was explaining why Jason's minutes looked so erratic in the last game, not overall. KT wasn't activated for that game.

It's real easy for people to sit here and pass judgment on what PT people are getting, etc. I was simply trying to fill in a blank about the TIMBERWOLVES game, nothing more.

Cutting Jason's minutes? Sorry, but to agree with that I'd have to agree that he's automatically entitled to a certain amount of PT regardless of his performance and I do NOT subscribe to that theory at all.

I'm expressing my frustration with the "rebuilding" process in general, with the Wolves game adding to this.

I don't think JT is entitled to minutes. However, when his minutes are decreased -- that implys cutting.

Especially, since your number 1 pick is, statistically, one of the best in the league. This is not theory, it is fact.
