I'd say the over/under for posts on this thread getting locked is somewhere around 3. Do we really need to rip another thread to shreds by having the same argument over and over? Some people want the team to win, some want the team to lose, with all sorts of justification for each. Just deal with it and stop hijacking every thread.

As long as a verbose minority continue to browbeat and demean people who dare have a dissimilar attitude, I would say the answer is "yes." Use the "ignore" feature. It eliminates a lot of aggravation.

This steps over the line IMHO. I deleted it but it's an ongoing thing around here and I'm quite frankly really tired of trying to keep things civil so I brought it - and the replies - back.

I'll just ask that we get back to the topic at hand and stop with the sniping.

I was asked a question and I answered it as clear as I could. Was it rude - probably but I don't question anyone's motivation for being Kings fan regardless of their opinions.

It's not about questioning anyone's motivations for being a fan. You answered his question, which could easily have just been ignored as it was pretty clearly rhetorical, by insinuating that you're a better fan without delusions, etc. Neither does the board or ongoing discussions any good.

There is no such thing as "better fan" or "right way" on this matter. Just different opinions because we all want the same.

Sorry, piksi, but you upped the ante. As I said, though, I'm terribly tired of just trying to keep the peace all the time. Now can we just get back to the topic at hand?

And just so you know...No, we don't all necessarily want the same thing. For some, a championship is all that matters. For others, the enjoyment of the journey is primary with the championship a bonanza we might well never live to see.

I think ANY team can win it all, IF they make the playoffs. If this team gels, it has the talent to do it.

i disagree with that second statement, but that's a matter of opinion. now the first statement...i just don't think that that can be true in a tournament with multiple series as opposed to single elimination.
