I think that Evans was the POTG. He really beasted the Rapts from the 2nd QTR on. Limited in the first quarter by one dumb foul and one questionable foul. But unlike Cousins, stayed in and played himself back into the game. He was unstoppable even with double teams in the 4th. They were trying to double Reke at the top of the key and on the wings, but it only warped their defense and that lead to assists and easy buckets by Reke and his crew. Casspi started off slow but he came to life in the second half. Love the way he gets himself open for those wide open bombs. Cousins is so productive, he just HAS to find a way to stay on the floor. Teams are Looking for ways to get early fouls on him to get him out of the game. Teams are afraid of Cousins when he is on the floor. They better be...

Honestly Landry had to get a flagrent there on that foul where he just pulled Derozen jersey I believe on his way for a layup.. had to.

Tyreke is so much better when he just goes up strong, doesn't fear the shotblocker and doesn't try to avoid contact.

See 2:12. Tyreke is going away from the basket and taking a very very tough lay up. If he could just stop and pop like Beno or get a floater or something it'd serve him very well.

IMO Tyreke is at his best when he gets a rebound and just pushes the ball down the court. Whenever it's off an opponent's made shot he just tiptoes his way across the court, taking tiny tiny steps. Like other posters have mentioned, this takes away the advantage we can sometimes get from catching the defence sleeping and all.

But still, a well played game by the guys. I love it when Omri hits a 3 off a Tyreke kickout. Love it.

i only saw the 4th quarter, and half of the 3rd, so my perspective is kinda warped... but man! great game!! it was a delight to see!

I have been somewhat critical of Casspi the last 8 months or so... i had almost forgotten what he was like before he faded last year... he gets MY nod for Player of the Game. but cousins and reke looked damned awesome as well---

there really is a feeling of 1999 in the air right now. there are all sorts of flaws, but things are EXCITING. just like 1999, with 21-y-o J-will at the helm with young Peja and prime Cwebb, and Vlade only in his early 60s you felt like you had lightening in a bottle. there were flaws aplenty, but the future was bright, and EXCITING. 2010 is the new 1999.

Having been at the game, I can definitely say that the arena definitely filled up once the Giants won the World Series. It seemed as if some of that energy carried over because the fourth quarter almost got to levels reminiscent of days of old. (Key word: almost. I can still hear so its still not 2001 all over again.)
Exactly. There's always some empty seats for a sell-out for every team. This wasn't superfull like the old days, but it was the best crowd I've seen in a wh8ile. It was much better after the Giants won, of course and people came into their seats.

And it did remind of the old days, but you're right. If you can still hear, it hasn't reached old levels completely. It was fun to really hear Arco thunder again. Its fun to hear all those feet stomping the wooden floorboards. :)

Yeah, I was there as well, and was a little confused when people said it wasn't full. The place looked to be close to capacity from what I saw. I know that a lot of us were up watching the end of the Giants game up on the concourse for about half the 1st quarter, so that probably did play a part. In terms of energy, I thought it was about as loud as I have heard it in years. Either way it was great to have that feeling back at Arco.
