To cap it all off - the kings dance team is beating the laker girls...didnt the lakers start the whole cheerleader thing in general...

Today has been a great day.

What are all you doing here.... Amazing Race is on
You're joking, right? Who cares about Amazing Race when there is a Kings win over the Lakers to celebrate?

Ron's efficiency tonight was great. 8 of 15 for 28 points. Took Kobe 28 shots to get 2 more points, and several of those were in garbage time with long 3's. :)

Only Mike and Kevin shot under 50%, and not by much for either.

AWESOME!

the most impressive stat in this whole game for me was Kobe's FTs.

only 2-3!!!

holding Kobe to only 3 attempts is amazing.
THats a great point.

Artest plays amazingly aggressive in-your-face defense without fouling.

wow....an A from brick for ron....there might be hope yet for u brick ;) ;)

gotta disagree with bonzi and bibby grades....theres no way that bibby and miller earned the samed grade tonite.....miller was definitely deserving of an A grade....i guess impressing in garbage time doesnt impress me....and bibby did that....he played a B game, and thats even with his turnovers and questionable decision making at times....he was very good at times, and pretty bad at times....and throwing in garbage 3's doesnt change that.....definitely a B game....

bonzi didnt play a very good game...in fact his first half was borderline atrocious....i was quite worried for that very reason...bonzi needs to play well when garcia is out, especially against the lakers....he did play better in the second half, but i would give him a high C for the overall game....it definitely wasnt one of his better games, let alone a B+.....he was no where near the level of bibby, miller or artest....

I didn't see Mike play well at all until the 4th quarter. Bonzi is still getting back from the injury

As with most player fans I try to ignore you on your favorite topic Taz. There is no objectivity. Every game for Ron is an A or at least a B+. Does not work that way. Guys are graded for who they are -- they are graded against themselves as much as against their opponents. Tim Duncan puts up 15 and 8 its a C game. Kenny Thomas puts up 15 and 8 its a B+.

I cant wait to hear the reaction on the overnight show on Fox(1140), the sports update lady is a Laker 'fan' and the host and callers give her hell about the Kings catching the Lakers in the standings. :D

Mega props to Brad Miller. Wonder if this Brad is here to stay... maybe Ron really is bringing back the old Indiana and Chicago Brad! Whatever it is, I like it.

actually, it was mostly just a joke....

but i will tell u this....we definitely would rate differently....IMO, players shouldnt be graded against themselves....they should be graded on their impact on the game, their team, and on the outcome....

this is a team game....

for instance...since u called it my favorite topic, ill use ron as an example....

in 22 games, im guessing but i would guess that ur average grade for ron works out to be in the B range....

yet, the team went from 13th to 7th in the standings....has won 15 out of 22 including 15 out of the last 20....hes totally changed the attitude, intensity level, and performance of the team...he took a lottery team and turned it into a legit contender....

and thats a B performance???? cmon....

like i said....we just look at things differently on this particular subject....and u want to make it out to be ron...and thats not it...because i know how much u wanted him here before the trade...and i know ur quite happy to have him here....

just a difference of opinion....how does the player impact the team and the game....thats what im looking for....

i totally agree.....i thought mike struggled quite a bit against parkers defense.....and bonzi still isnt himself....

i thought ron played a great game....and i thought brad played a great game....in fact...i know how easy it is to dwell on rons game, but i thought brad played equally well.....he was a stud....

Bonzi had nice games in Jersey/Milwaukee. Remember he hurt something a bit (minor) vs. the Grizzlies, and the groin is still there a bit also, he said.

Go figure... Two ex-Pacers ;)
lol...yea...i realize that looks very suspicious and biased....

all i can say is its not...not that changes anything....i just thought it was the two of them that happened to truly dictate what was happening out there...

bibby hit a number of open shots....and that certainly helped...but didnt necessarily impact the game other than that...i thought brad and ron were huge on both ends....sorry if it seems biased....guess i should just leave it alone ;) ;)

Even if they were mostly open looks and in "garbage time" Bibby still deserves some credit for putting his foot down on the throat of the Fakers. That's something previous Kings teams have often struggled to do.

After reading all these posted comments and reviewing the box scores, I have only a few observations. I think it is unusual for the Kings to have only one player with a double-double in such a high-scoring game with a seven-man rotation. Brad had the only double-double on Tuesday night! I wonder if this will be a trend. I think it may be a function of players accepting their roles and executing team-play well. Bibby, Brad, and Artest got most of the assists. The toher statistics were spread around nicely. I suspect this is by design. The team is becoming a machine.
